I think Mii would be an AWESOME character. It could have so many different moves and designs. Also his final smash could be him blowing a whistle and Miis from your system would jump all around the screen chasing the other players.

This is legit. 8/11 newcomers can't be some mere coincidence. Guessing Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Mega Man, Little Mac, Palutena, Mii Fighters, Pac-Man, and a Pokemon from X/Y (Greninja) correctly has to mean something. Plus, in the Roundtable, Sakurai said that full roster was decided upon at the beginning of development, with a spot for a new Pokemon from X/Y reserved, which was chosen to be Greninja long before X/Y were out. The leaker must have gotten the information before Greninja was chosen. This means that Shulk, Chrom, and Chorus Boys/Marshall are in. Now, there could also be other newcomers not on the Gematsu leak, at least not yet. The trophy quizzes in the Smash Bros Direct seem to hint at newcomers, as the Pseudo Palutena one was shown in a way to troll us into thinking Palutena was just a trophy and teasing about her inclusion as a fighter. The other three trophies were for Fire Emblem, Zelda, and Metroid. So Chrom, a Zelda newcomer, and a Metroid newcomer. In Brawl, Sakurai has always considered Charizard, Squirtle, and Ivysaur to be separate characters, meaning there were 6 Pokemon reps. Trainer is gone due to no transformations and Charizard is back. Greninja seems to have replaced Squirtle. This leaves two Pokemon spots, one for Jigglypuff, and one for a Grass type starter (Sceptile?). So we can conclude that some of the newcomers are: Chrom, Shulk, Chorus Boys/Marshall, a Zelda newcomer, and a Metroid newcomer. We may get another Mario newcomer as well to even out the number of reps for Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon. The Kremlings being in Smash Run might point towards King K Rool's inclusion as a fighter, but I'm not sure on that one.

TheChillarmy imgur.com/a/fuIJc An enemy from Rhythm Heaven was seen in Smash Run. Giving confirmation that there is some sort of Rhythm Heaven representation. I doubt Sceptile will be in the game. Sakurai chose characters when X/Y was in development, so Sceptile was probably irrelevant and they most likely didn't have a design for his Mega at the time. Also patterns don't exist for smash, otherwise Ike wouldn't be returning. Despite what people say, though, I could see Mewtwo returning, seeing as Sakurai said he had a hand in making designs for Greninja, Mega Charizard and Mega Lucario. Also Mega Mewtwo Y was really advertised when Pokemon X/Y was announced. K-Rool is highly unlikely since again, he's been irrelevant for like the last 10 years, the kremlings probably represent DK and Diddy, and are most likely just a refrence to their past. He could be an assist trophy or stage boss though. I guarantee there won't be any more Mario newcomers, that was Rosalina's role, and their are no indicators of any new Mario Character. I also believe they'll cut Lucas and Wolf seeing as Sakurai loves diverse move-sets, also I've been hearing that there was a leak from Gematsu like 40 minutes before the digital event saying that they were making last minute decisions to cut Lucas and Wolf because in testing the roster was too large for the 3DS to handle. I also highly doubt that newcomers from Zelda and Metroid will be present. The only other character from Metroid that would work in Smash is Ridley, and he's already been teased as a stage boss. Ghirahim is a possibility, but there's no evidence supporting him being playable.

Another reason why Chrom could be in is because Lucina's character portrait was in the amiibo trailer. Since her fighting style is the same as Marth's, she'll probably be an assist trophy. However, why would they include an FE:A assist trophy without including an FE:A character? Chrom seems like the most likely candidate. I just wanna see Shulk playable...

ZachNyeScienceGuy Ok, ignore anything from my original post that isn't related to the Gematsu leak. That third part of the leak never listed anything about Wolf being cut or 3DS limitations. It only: -Reiterated the newcomers from the previous parts of the leak -Said that there was an internal debate on whether to cut Lucas or Ness, and that apparently Lucas is likely to get the boot -Mentioned post-launch character DLC plans This means that the only thing that can prove the third part of the leak is post-launch character DLC, as the Ness vs Lucas debate has no direct contradiction - the leak would still be right if neither are cut or Ness is cut over Lucas (original 12 rule is obviously out the window at this point).

ZachNyeScienceGuy As for Ridley, he's not deconfirmed. All Sakurai said was that other stages had boss hazards. He very well could have been trolling us. I should point out that Pyrosphere, one of the earliest stages revealed, was not featured in the E3 demo, yet the Mushroom Kingdom U stage was. Also, even if Ridley was a boss hazard, they very well could make Meta Ridley be the hazard when Ridley is being played as. The size argument would only hold validity because of the 3DS version. If the game was Wii U only, that argument would hold no water.

Something worth mentioning about Chrom is that he can use spears later on in Awakening, and that could be the way that his moveset is diversified: Some moves he could bust out a spear rather than his sword and it would have improved reach, and they could even give him javelins as a projectile, which no other playable Lord in Smash has had so far.

Mii could wield a Wii Remote. The different moves such as the tennis racket and golf club could change the peripheral on the Wii Remote. That'd certainly be unique. Mii could even use the Nunchuk as an actual Nunchuk! The idea of a spell from Streetpass Quest that changes depending on the colour of your Mii is very titillating. They could take it even further with some of the other StreetPass Plaza games that feature different events defined by the colour of your Mii's shirt colour. I'd like to see what Mii's Final Smash would be. I'm guessing it's something from the StreetPass Plaza... OH GOD what if it IS StreetPass Plaza?! A huge army of Miis flood the screen, wielding logos of various 3DS games, beating your rivals into a cartoony, technicolour pulp! And the size of the army could change depending on how many Miis are populating your Plaza, increasing the amount of damage dealt!

Pacman & Game&Watch got confirmed shortly after the event. This guy's leaks has so far been 8 out of 11 characters confirmed from the rumored lists. I don't think this guy is just making wild guesses. 72% of the character leaks have been confirmed in. From WiiFit to even your Mii character, he's been very accurate. He's honestly boosted my faith in Chrom & Shulk being in this game FAR more than I doubted now.

Remember, the leak said that these characters were set to *appear* in SSB4. That DOESN'T mean that the Chorus Men will potentially be playable, but rather as an Assist Trophy, since that seems more likely. The Pokémon from X & Y was most likely Greninja, because I can't see anyone else from Gen. VI being playable. Chrom, Shulk, Palutena & Pac-Man I think have a VERY solid chance to be playable. Going on about what I said about Chorus Men being an Assist Trophy, I think Miis will fall into that category as well, if at all. Remember, they appeared in the Find Mii stage, so that TECHNICALLY qualifies for "appearing" in the game.

This leak could have been from an earlier list of characters the team was thinking of & some of the characters may have been cut/replaced. This happened with Marvel vs Capcom 3, there was one or two leaked lists that were pretty accurate besides a couple characters getting replaced. One major indicator that they were true is that the director of that game said they replaced Juggernaut (who was on the list) with Sentinel.

Hey GameXplain, I actually came to a idea about Mii. Mii maybe won't be a character, but a mode. (Mii Mode) this could be a mode for Wii U in which you design your character using your mii from scratch, you use existing moves from all the fighters and put them in your mii. Unbalanced, yes but it's a mode. A mii with Lucario's Extreme Speed, Little Mac's power and such would wreck.

I just thought about something for the Mii. There has been moveset customization announced, so what if the Mii is a character with no base moves of their own but you can take moves from every other character, similar to Mario Kart where the Mii's size is essentially the same as the chosen Mii's height. I can imagine that the Chorus Men, to use the trio concept, would be able to use each other for attacks. For example, one could swing around another like a bat, band together for a singing attack like Jigglypuff did in the past, two could band together to make a wheel while the third pushes it around, even having two of them pitch one across the stage with gaping jaws for a projectile bite attack. As off the wall as they are, there's a surprising amount of potential for building a move set for these little guys!

I think that, if they make the cut, the Chorus Boys will execute moves in a rhythmic sequence, and they would all either follow behind the lead, or be hidden behind the main one until he attacks, in which case they would pop out to aid in the move. So say for example they turn out to be like the ice climbers, and they all follow the lead one. If the lead one hits A and, I don't know, punches, then it will cause the other two to wait for their cue to punch, such as how actual music works. This would cause them to maintain the rhythm feature from their game, but not force players to be good with rhythm to use them efficiently.

Well, to be honest, I think the Choir Boys have a even less chance of being a character. I mean, how would they function? At least the Wii Fit Trainer can fit a bit of a combat style; the choir boys can't do anything but sing . I think that they have the best chance of being an assist trophy. They can blow back enemies with their extremely loud singing. Just my opinion though.

One thing I would like to point out about these characters is that if you notice almost all the characters announced so far, they use them as a way to promote an upcoming or recent title released. The only one that would be a bit out of place so far is Little Mac as he is referred to the series on the official website page as opposed to a specific title. So if it is the same with these recent leaks, it would go just as suggested in the leaked description. So it's possible these are maybe 70% true.

Notice how the leak doesn't say "a Pokemon from X and Y" but rather says "Pokemon from X and Y". That could hint at several X and Y Pokemon instead of just Greninja, perhaps even having 3 different starter evolutions a'la the Pokemon Trainer in Brawl, just minus the transformations and having the ability to choose which Pokemon (all in the same slot) you want prior to battle. It would explain why he wasn't specific.

The Chorus Men would be really hard to make a good move set with. Mainly because there's three of them. They'd likely end up being too powerful or not powerful enough, depending on how strong each one is. It would be a weird choice, to say the least.

Monolith's 'X' is the spiritual successor to Xenoblade, but whether or not Shulk will appear in it is unknown. Also, Xenoblade came out in 2010 in Japan so it's really not that new and despite the fact that yes sales numbers weren't all that amazing critically it did phenomenally. I simply don't feel he has as low a chance as you're letting on.

Theres plenty of room for innovative stuff in his moveset (he has like.... 9 normal skills, and the 8 or 9 monado arts; as well as his ability to glimpse into the future. Palutena is another interesting thing, though im not sure what kind of a moveset she could have since she never really fights (other than the time the Chaos Kin takes over her body)

he's a sword user and from a niche game. His game needed "operation rainfall" to convince Nintendo to bring it to the US even though Europe already had the entire game with english voice acting and localization. he's popular with a few player bases but relatively unknown to the mainstream.

because Sword users will use their swords primarily to fight. "fist fighters" in smash dont necessarily use their "fists" primarily. The only one who does that is little mac in this game from what we know so far.

mainstream and casuals dont see that. and no sword user will not play like each other but you know that they will be carrying and using swords. Compared to characters like mario, yoshi, captain falcon, swords users dont really differentiate from sword swings as their main attacks. While the "fist" users can use other weapons such a cape, vaccum, grenade, etc. And before other people say link, I say yes he's probably the only sword user with multiple weapons and attacks. But i'll also be hard pressed to believe that anyone would NOT count him as a sword using character also.

I think if the leaker is legit, it's someone only seeing brief glimpses. Like maybe someone that works in the Namco building without working on the game directly. When it comes to the moveset of the chorus boy's, I would imagine him working like ice climbers in the fact that there are multiple people, only emphasizing more on the number of chorus boys you have. Giving them moves that increase in power depending on how many chorus boys there are. For example, his (their) down smash if you had one choir boy he may just shift his head side to side singing and doing minor damage, but if you have 3 choir boys, two of them sing out loudly from the sides and the middle boy doing the same thing he would if there was one choir boy. The choir boys grabs could reference to the rhythm heaven minigame "DJ school" and the choir boys just scratch the foes head like a cd and their tosses would be them swiping their heads and tossing them away, with more distance depending on how many choir boys there are. Going into specials and adding in the idea of timing, their standard special could be the boys shooting out the squares that show up in the rhythm heaven mini-game "Built to scale". If you have one choir boy, one square shoots out, two boys get two squares, and if you have all 3 then, if you time the special right, you can have the little cylinder shoot out trough the two squares and deal higher amounts of damage and maybe go through targets for extra damage. The side special would reference to "Karate man" and have the boys punching a foe away, racking up more distance and damage depending on how many choir boys, and using the right timing on each hit could have the foe get hit by and extra item, going from a minor pot, to a barrel with a bomb in it. The up special would be the choir boys jumping on the "see-saw" and once again, you get a higher jump depending on the number of choir boys. The down special could be the choir boys tap dancing/ kicking foes as a reference to the "tap troupe" game. and depending on the number of choir boys, decides the range, damage, and consecutive hits. anyway, that's a list of lines right there I dare you to read. (Quick warning: just sort of threw a bunch of mini-games I found in rhythm heaven here, so I may be off with a few mini-games from and unreliable source or some such)

rakkoolthediju Are you not aware that the reasons of a Mii, being placed in a game like this, is because of character customization... direct 8 discusses about this customization for characters; therefore I see a very good reason for a Mii to be playable. Seems legit and interesting. Placing a Mii against an all star team, with its own customized move sets, and probably a costume... pleased of such an idea. But that's just me saying... though I feel strongly right on that thought, in a way. Making that Mii into some Mokujin from Tekken Tag Tournament 2(Which is also a Wii U game); that I believe could be another reason for the Mii idea; but like I said, "But that's just me saying..."

The amount of hate towards the idea of Pacman being in Smash 4 is hilariously sad. Not even in the Brawl days was his hate this big (though Nacmo wasn't co-developing the game obviously, but still). I for one would gladly accept the idea of Pacman being in the game. Plus, seeing Mario, Sonic, Megaman, and Pacman would be the most awesome thing ever!

Honestly, the section of the video that talked about the chorus men doesn't seem that unlikely, considering that 'Mr. game and watch' , although was only one character not three and i don't think that he really changed characters either, but it did take several different people from the actual game that he was in. It had attacks based on each of the mini-games, but having the chorus men 'summon' in other characters to do things based on the other mini-games in rythem heaven.

I prefer Lucina for many reason, such as the way she holds her sword, but I always liked her as a Marth skin because she fits the fast fighter moveset. What I really want to see is a magic user character from Fire Emblem.

While I do want a magic user I don't believe that they will add them. The reason being that only the main characters of a FE series are the ones everyone gets to experience. They are the characters needed to the story and the ones that give you a game over from dying. Other "side" characters can be as important if not more to some players while other players might not like them or even have them die in the beginning. Those characters are ones whose importance and revelance are dependent on the individuals playing them, and as such might hold a special spot in one's heart but not another. And since there are no "main" characters that specialize in magic the chance of one appearing as a main character are slim.

Ah, so this "Anonymous Tipster" didn't leak the info directly to the site, but through a forum post on NeoGaf in which he refers to it as "Predictions". And he didn't get Villager's name right. This completely discredits this for me. @Jeidyn: He'd never officially been referred to as "Villager" before Smash. In fact, the area where he lives in is constantly referred to as a "town".

I was intrigued by this leak and went googling for the post. This leak happened hours before the Smash Direct, I thought this leak was recent as of like today or yesterday. But now knowing the leak came before the Smash Direct I think the X/Y Pokemon is just Greninja.

X/Y Pokemon is just so damn generic, though. Why would the leak say "X/Y Pokemon" rather than the ACTUAL Pokemon? If he actually had the correct information, he'd have known exactly who it was from X/Y. Other than Wii Fit Trainer and Choir Boys, all of these "leaks" are obvious suggestions. The only reason this guy has any credibility is because he lucky guessed Wii Fit Trainer. I still don't think Chrom will replace Ike but if character skins are in Chrom might get top billing and Ike is back as a character skin of Chrom, or visa-versa.

JaidynReiman Replacement isn't completely likely. Because they chose to keep in Lucario as a fighter as well as a new Pokemon addition that fits a similar role. There is no reason why that can't keep a solid representation of Fire Emblem by keeping Ike as a unique fighter with the addition of Chrom as a middleweight fighter between Ike and Marth in strength. I disagree with the interpretation of Roy being dropped, because he was nothing more than a clone of Marth with slight differences.

NINmann01wiiU I don't think Chrom will replace Ike either, in fact, you're the FIRST person to agree with me on that. The problem with adding Chrom as a new character is he'd bring nothing new at all to Smash Bros. unless they take some serious liberties with him (and it'd be nice to have a new FE character that's not another main male blue-haired Lord). I think Chrom would be better as an alt of Ike, maybe with a preset custom moveset, and a new magic-using FE character could be added instead. The other argument I make in support of Ike's return is he's been the main Lord in two games (second-most to Marth; the only other character who's had almost as many important roles is Leaf, except Leaf wasn't a Lord in his first appearance), he was in Brawl, he's still popular, and he's even had DLC in Awakening as well (along with most every other main FE Lord).

Because there is a "Find Mii" stage already in the game I feel that Mii could happen. If he did I would say they wouldn't pull his moves from Wii sports etc, instead I believe they might pull his moves from the other Streetpass Plaza Games such as Warriors Way, Flower Town etc. I could see them getting a blaster, throwing pots or shooting lasers all while wearing a crown on their heads.

Mii could indeed be tied into that moveset customization thing. Many other fighting games like Rival School and Soul Calibur and more likely Tekken. Instead of customize a character's look then inherit entire moveset from existing characters, the look would just be based on your Mii library and let you pick each individual move.

selah Pinson First of all, Pikmin were nerfed. Second of all, Pikmin don't attack whatsoever. They follow Olimar around and he throws them. Ice Climbers, Rosalina and Luma, and Chorus Men would have all of them attacking presumably. Chorus Men isn't the same thing as Pikmin because they are three nearly identical characters. It'd be very weird to control one and the other two are simply thrown around like Pikmin are.

Another neat lil detail about luma is when he and roselina do the spinning move he has a mad face or eyes. If I recall correctly, he (Sal Romano) originally called him Animal Crossing Guy. I spent too long on Smashboards... Also rather than saying he was given information from his tipper, he said the characters he predicted were his "unlikely predictions". I remember because his profile picture was a dog in a hat.

Although you might be right, I doubt he said Villager. This list you see was made after the release of the 1st trailer so I'm assuming he could have just said "Animal Crossing Player' and the list just put it as his official name "Villager".

(also) I can think of a move set for the Chorus Boys. Just have all of their attacks revolve solely on singing, what they do best. Every one of their attacks are just them singing in different directions, and they can stack on top of each other to increase their singing power, or have them follow one-another to move faster across the field (however, it takes 3 seconds for them to change formations, making them vulnerable). And their Final Smash could be calling a random friend from Rhythm Heaven to attack other players.

If they can make Mr. Game and Watch into a full-fledged character, they can make anyone. That's why I a) always disagreed with anyone who thought Little Mac couldn't work because he couldn't have a diverse enough moveset and b) always t thought Little Mac would be in SSB4. So I'm not exactly shocked Nintendo would have cooked up something like the Chorus Boys. If they do make it into the game, though, I think it's pretty safe to say Nintendo will include them in the next version of Rhythm Heaven.

I really hope that Isaac from Golden Sun is in the game, and that the Ice Climbers return. They're the only veterans I feel might be cut. Also, I really wish they'd include a Fire Emblem character that doesn't use a sword like Micaiah from Radiant Dawn.

Characters from this list I'd love to play as: -Chrom (Love his white cape and iron shoulder part. His sword is cool as well) -Palutena (Pretty obvious she's coming back) -Shulk (Fuck yeah, he kinda looks like me and his sword is fucking AMAZING) -Chorus Men (They could do amazing stuff like stand on eachothers' back and throw a mid-air punch, or as a grab, two of them could grab a player while the third one pummels him in the face while he's standing on their shoulders) For Pac-Man I'm kinda against him cause I don't like how his 3D version looks and I don't think they can do a lot of cool looking stuff with him. Game&Watch and R.O.B were just characters based off of peripherals/mini-games. The Wii Fit board is a pretty significant peripheral for the Wii, so... it's not TOO out there to guess Wii Fit Trainer.
