At last… after coming out of hiding for a second time, Tord joins the battle armed to the teeth with heavy weapons. His ambitions wanting to be realized, Tord will use everything from his own inventions to the highest technology available to see his plans successful. He will be complete again…
Tord is finally here. Ever since the Eddsworld trio got their movesets, Tord has been so heavily requested for over a year now, and even after the empty slot people really wanted to see him. I sincerely hope that this moveset lives up to the expectations and hype surrounding our red hooded fun addict.

When's Tord? NOW'S TORD. But seriously oh my god. This is so amazing. Once again, you really showed who makes the most fun to watch movesets around here! I like the idea of the guns exclusively bringing some serious long-range normal action, and those specials. It's hard to describe my giddiness i felt all that stuff. A lot of traditional ideas were brought in with some new twists. My favourite just had to be the Side Special as it really was the most unique thing in the moveset. And hearing the pure version of Edd's Crappy Song at the end raised my hype even more. But once again everything that tied this thing into an amazing package is the LORE. The intense opening was short and sweet, and that last scene where my personal favourite lawl got a lot of screentime was ESPECIALLY amazing. We're building up to Lawl Multiverse, that's gonna be great.

About the animation, which is most notable in this video, the masking of The End could be improved a bit, but I absolutely love the original animations made for this, which really reflects the old style during the original Eddsworld series up to Edd’s death. I loved it.

Well, it's wonderful to see Lawl Beatdown back in action again! Out of the four Eddsworld characters, I consider Tord to have the best moveset of them. From the buttons that turn into furniture, to the jetpack recovery, Tord seems more gadget oriented than the rest, but it really works in his favor, since the furniture can be used to trick opponents into thinking that nothing is approaching them, and also it helps win some KOs if it is timed properly. Plus, I like the Side B briefly traps opponents in a case for a second, so that way they can get out but are still vulnerable to those approaching them. My personal favorite move was the Final Smash, which largely reminded me of shows such as Voltron and Transformers that prominently feature giant robots or mechs, plus the stage alt during the segment was perfect. Psycho Dad's regular attacks were good, and Tord has one sweet looking idle! I also really enjoyed the outro, not only because Galvatron had a prominent role, but also how their ambitions connect with one another to possibly form a deadly and powerful alliance. Overall, this was well with the wait, and I'm excited to see some of the future characters, notably Mrs. Mavilda and Harry Freakin Potter.

YO SHAD As a character that has been teased since Tom's moveset, who was also the winner of an Empty Slot, I totally expected this moveset to live up to the hype, because it definitely did. First of all it was a good call not to make the moveset too based around fire arms, with those being instead the normals so that specials are more unique. And boy they were great, because Tord is definitely my favourite out of the Eddsworld characters right now. His moves, despite not having guns, have a great emphasis on attacking from the distance with traps and walls. I specially liked the Down B, mostly for the punching glove variants. Side B was also a move that incorporated a mechanic that may look situational at first (getting rid of buffs), but since it's a secondary option the move is not entirely based around that, which is the ideal way to go. Also damn that Final Smash! I am already a fan of transformation Final Smashes but this one blew me away thanks to the animation and many options. Even little details like the Victory Poses (and losing poses too!) or the appearence of more future characters like Vriska or Pearl made this moveset one that I will definitely rewatch a lot. Also, the cutscenes are also a treat to watch. Who would have thought having a team formed by a Jojo character, an Eddsworld character and a Transformers character (shoutouts to Hammer Man) would work so well and be so amusing to see? In my opinion this is what separates Lawl from those shoddy crossovers it's sometimes compared to: The creator understands their characters and how they behave, making the interactions have much more substance and be so enjoyable. And damn, now I want to try to decipher all those codes that Tord stole. tl;dr AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

That was one triumphant return! While not a big Eddsworld fan, I did enjoy Tord a lot, and I'm so satisfied that his specials are not just him shooting a gun. They are very unique, allowing him to go either offensive or defensive. The presentation got a nice upgrade as well, with the new huds and the zoom-ins. But the story tho. The story has soooo much stuff in it, and there's a perfect balance between plot progression and comedic gags. It really feels like the characters are one big happy family. Also, DIO fits sooo well as the main villian. Looking forward for what's next to come, especially PBG!

Shad, this is AMAZING. Again. The intro was funny ("Come On. Do it Kill Me." "If you say so...") and epic with Tord's attack, the moveset was awesome aswell, smart idea to put the guns for his standards to let Tord's unique evil inventor side show. Great to see Beatdown back.

Duuuuude, this is such a character I'd totally main alongside Dan Talk to the BackHandSlide! With tactical projectile normals, an awesome damage sponge in Neutral like me current main Pac Man, an incredibly solid defense in Down B, and one Helluva Final Smash (the only thing better than giant clowns, good old giant, explosive Robots), Tord turned out to be a seriously fun fighter. This whole moveset, the character of Tord and how everyone who was hyped for are now oh so overjoyed, those very impressive sprites (Batter n Mavil's being me favs of the new group), the presentation, the ever growing lore, and speaking of, that outro which was so good, I think me heart stopped (I figured Galvatron had something planned behind Nezzer, but this was seriously unexpected!) were all A Grade Top notch. Beatdown really is one of the pinnacles to Lawl. A shining -diamond- example of why putting in the hours of dedication to source and animation is so important in crafting an unbelievably hype product as this. I've got to rewatch n binge Eddsworld for sure after this, but it'll be a while cause I've got some business to attend. Y'see, it's my Birthday! Thank you so much for this killer moveset, Bad. Just made this day all the more sweeter. Here's wishing both you & SpeedWagon the bestest of luck with Assist Trophies.

Well it's about time he joined! I gotta say, he's probably my new favorite of the Eddsworld guys too, followed by Edd, Matt, then Tom. The Netural B, Down B and especially that Final Smash put him at the top for me. It's been over a year and a half since his "teaser" in Tom's moveset, and that year in and half of waiting, and getting first place in the Empty Slot was worth it! The intro and outro are also very well made like usual, and it got me thinking if Headmaster Galvitron is seen there makes me think that Beatdown and Zero are cannon with each other. If that's the case, that would be amazing. All around, this video was worth the wait, and I can't wait to see what's next for Beatdown, which I believe is Assist Trophies... but that outro has me thinking otherwise that it COULD be something else. Just a theory tho.

This was definitely my favourite Beatdown moveset. It could've so easily been "neutral b: gun, side b: other gun" etc, but instead of that you brought several unique abilities that, while some would've been easy to predict (honestly what could you have done other than the Jetpack) the way they were executed were way higher than any expectations. I cannot wait for the Assist Trophies video.

@@UltimaOtakuChannel Basically, from what I copied from the wiki. Dio is able manipulate his hair to create parasites that he can insert into a human's head, don't ask, just accept. The Flesh Bud will pierce through the skull into the part of the brain, making the afflicted compliant to Dio's charisma. As explained by Joseph, the parasite will gradually eat the inflicted's brain. So in short, Tord isn't exactly himself.

Great moveset! Since I watched pretty much all of Eddsworld after Matt's moveset, I recognized pretty much all of Tord's moves. And just like Ruby, I was expecting that to be his Final Smash. And I was expecting the limited sofas and his jetpack to be in his moveset too. (I actually thought the hippo that squashed him would make a cameo in that move though) Can't wait for the Assist Trophies!

So as someone who was never super into Eddsworld, this was so god damn hype to see uploaded. This is one of those scenarios where the moveset was done so well that I don't think I need to explain what was done right. Most of Tord's key elements were tapped into here, and really glad you didn't go with the guns approach, like you said that would've been way too boring. There were moves I were expecting, like the Instant Furniture, the Jetpack, and the Giant Robot, but it was still so hype to see since you know how to make ideas like those non-generic. Take Dan Backslide for example. The one thing I really have to admire here is all of the original animation. Not just the cropped attacks and idles, but also what was used during the story segments and other drawn poses. They replicate the style so well, especially fucking Tom's victory against Tord, that was so good. Plus I adore special victory poses/special lose poses, so seeing that here made me happy. And speaking of the story, I have never been so invested in it until now. Even though I have never seen Jojo nor know anything about Dio, I'm really interested in what will happen next. Including who will be next. There is a *lot* here to top. What a great way to end off August! Glad to see Beatdown back in action, and good to see it has only improved since the last moveset.

All the memes wanting Tord in has paid off- I think this is a nice reminder that just because a character shoots a lot doesn't mean their specials can't be interesting. For examples, how the cube turns into a couch and I really like how the Down B can be affected by stage walls as well as both of its options. Shout out to the way the tech arms are all animated at once. Also that Final Smash looks like a challenge to survive. I wonder how many assist trophies I'll recognise... also gotta love when this Lawl interacts with other Lawls.
