I have the first 6 facts here if anyone wants to know. 1. The game will be on the Nintendo Wii U. 2. The game will be out on November 21st in NA. 3. The game will be $59.99 or your regional equivalent. 4. You can play with the Wii U Gamepad. 5. You can play with the Wii U Pro Controller. 6. You can play with the GameCube controller. I mean I'm basically blowing out all the info Sakurai wanted to let the people know! In all honesty I will be shocked if there is anything crazy shown. If they have a special surprise they will want to keep it that way so players can discover it in-game.

I really hate to be THAT guy, but if people are EXPECTING to see new characters in this Direct other than Duck Hunt Dog and Bowser Jr, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't object to more characters via DLC or Wii U connectivity. But I just don't see it happening. If these are 50 things exclusive to the Wii U version, how can it be characters when Sakurai said the roster would be the same for each version? If there are Wii U exclusive characters, then the 3DS roster wouldn't be the same. And if you made those characters downloadable for the 3DS version, then they wouldn't be exclusive to the Wii U version. It just wouldn't add up. I think it's much more likely to expect to just see new stages, modes, music, customization options, trophies, etc. And all of this might not even be new. They could show stuff we've already seen in POTDs just because they're exclusive to the Wii U version. You want new characters? Fine. I wouldn't mind them either. But if you're EXPECTING to see them, you're setting yourself up for disappointment because absolutely nothing is guranteed at this point.

Well to be honest, I doubt they'd be making a direct to broadcast things like trophies, it should be something pretty good, and I'm not even trying to just be optimistic. Realistically, i think we'll all be pretty happy with it.

Ridley is a character! He was shown off in Pyrosphere as a silhouette when he grabbed Pikachu, but when Nintendo showed off full game play of the Pyrosphere stage later on he was no where, neither a hazard nor a boss.

I know Sakurai has said previously that both versions will have the "same roster" but let's be honest here: I don't think anyone is going to take offense if the Wii U version is the superior version, which it should be. If you have a game that comes out on both handhelds and consoles, usually the console version has more content because it has much better processing power, but during the development of Smash 4, it has felt like that the Wii U version of the game is getting limited in some parts of development just so that it can be on par with its handheld counterpart. You could throw in the "Ice Climbers exclusion" here, but then you could say that it was the lack of "power" that lead to no more transforming characters and giving ZSS, Sheik, and Charizard to getting their own slots and unique moves to replace "Transform."

My theory on the "Duck Hunt reveal" is that the image takes place at the beginning of a trailer (assuming there's another), or at the end of Duck Hunt's (although, he may not even get a trailer.) Why is the person in the game holding an NES zapper at a Wii U game? Strange things that will be answered soon. :)

I feel like this Dunk Hunt trailer could be an NES-themed trailer. So characters like ROB will also be revealed, and new NES themed stages will be shown off. Now I'm not saying I think any DLC characters would be revealed this early, but an NES trailer would be a perfect excuse to reveal Ice Climbers as well... IF they are even DLC, which is unfortunately unlikely.

I am personally still holding out on Event Match and Target Test returning as game modes exclusive to the WiiU version of the game. The problem with the 8 player mode is that controller connect through bluetooth, and a bluetooth master device can only communicate with 7 devices at a time. So the gamecube adapter would be required for an 8 player mode.

The duck hunt PotD hides another character reveal (usually the traler shows a character in a trailer uinrelated to the game, then it shows them ingame fighting with others but here we already see duck hunt on battlefield meaning he was revealed) I'm guessing bowser jr since it's the only one not revealed yet.

I keep looking at the picture from Thursday to conform if it is an character in the game, and by looking at the feet of the character that is censored, no other character has those feet, and not much character are that size. I don’t know who it could be, but it is not duck hunt, or any newcomer for that matter. And it is not the down special of duck hunt because the foot (of what I can assume) is not pixilated. The character looks like Ness.... strange. Oh well we will only know by the end of the direct (maybe, Sakurai can still troll, it is his game he is working on).

He is in the game in some form. That is pretty much confirmed. A trailer from way back that showed off boss characters teased Ridley's shadow on the metroid stage for the wii u.
