Thanks for another great episode. I look forward to the new ones each week! The combination of timeliness, innovation, proximity to the Twin Cities and professionalism really sets this broadcast apart from all others consistently.

You guys should really do a video on the St. Louis river in Duluth again!! I live 4 blocks away from the river and fish it almost everyday I can, anyways it'd be pretty sick to see a new show on it again. And another great show this week!!

Once again great show guys....wish you could do a couple shows a year where the viewers could fish with you guys, kind of like a "In Depth Outdoors" viewer contest.

We really like this idea and will be looking into it for next season. No promises... but it would be really fun if we could pull it off.

InDepthOutdoorsTV Hi team! i am an ambitious 14 (soon to be 15) year old. I am interested in getting a Tuned up custom rod..., i cant decide between the 36" precision or the 36" quick tip precision! i was wondering which rod the team prefers... i use it for multipurpose (i.e. perch-24-28" northern's) the perch in my lake are smaller, 7-9", also if u had any tips for catching 10-12" perch, i dont know if i am missing the hits or if im just not moving with the fish! if you could respond, thanks!

Are you going to get a new open water intro for the summer? Hey another great episode guys, love it
@DesignatedCOD10 жыл бұрын
So James you guys are going to be done broadcasting on may 18? Like no more videos or what...you guys are my favorite
@InDepthOutdoorsTV10 жыл бұрын
Once our broadcast season is done on May 18 I know all the production guys are going to need a break. At least for a couple weeks. I'm sure they'll put out videos over the summer but they won't be as regular as they have been for the last six months. If you want to see more videos... let our sponsors know!

What do you guys do to attach your crank baits to the line? I heard you say get it on the snap. Are you using a plain snap or a snap swivel?

Hey James, I live in pa and I'm trying to figure out the walleye patterns in some of the bigger reservoirs around the northwest part of pa. Any ideas for early post spawn walleye?

You guys should do an episode of monster carp
@rjrick884810 жыл бұрын
What kind of reels were they using? I crank this river and many others around for eyes in the spring and want a reel that doesn't bind up so much and isn't hard to turn while reeling in the bad currents. Thanks

Just wondering how you were able to distinguish males from females before you got them in the boat.
@InDepthOutdoorsTV10 жыл бұрын
Mostly by size. Almost all the smaller fish were milting males. All the larger fish were females. I don't think the guys had any males longer than 21" or so.
@hookedonmnfishing103210 жыл бұрын
Cool, any smallies?
@InDepthOutdoorsTV10 жыл бұрын
Nope, 99% walleye with a few whitefish and a carp or two mixed in. No smallies.

So what's the best way to fish for walleye from shore?
@InDepthOutdoorsTV10 жыл бұрын
There were a bunch of people on shore as well. Most were fishing crankbaits as well with the shore anglers mixing in husky jerks and regular floating raps in addition to the deep divers.
@josephbrock810 жыл бұрын
InDepthOutdoorsTV Thanks! Where can I find one of those Storm Smash Shad in store?
@InDepthOutdoorsTV10 жыл бұрын
Joseph Brock I think most all major retailers carry them. Fleetfarm, Cabelas, Gander, etc. I did see Fleetfarm had them on sale for $2.99 last week. Not sure if that sale is still going on but at that price it would be worth a look.

Are the fish edible from the Fox? I hear stories of it being polluted, but question why so many anglers go there to fish for walleyes. I understand people may be trophy fishing, but for people who fish them for sport, why not go after bass or northern since they are awesome fighting fish?
@InDepthOutdoorsTV10 жыл бұрын
If fish from Green Bay are edible, then yes, they're edible. The fish being caught in this episode spend very little time in the Fox River. They come in to spawn then exit. I know the Fox River is undergoing a clean up of some sort and I'll admit I don't know what impact the condition of the Fox has on the fish that come in to spawn but I would assume it is minimal given how little time is spent there.
@tylermarquis86487 жыл бұрын
InDepthOutdoorsTV I am from De Pere and i fish here almost every day if the fish come in from the bay they are edible but if they live in the fox they are not the river is polluted from all of the paper factories
@hookedonmnfishing103210 жыл бұрын
