3:12 That may age badly very quickly if Neo beats Sparg0 at Port Priority 8. I wonder why is Sparg0 seeded to fight a Corrin player yet again. Btw, the seeding is so mean to so many players lol. Gluto is the fourth seed, but he has to fight the fifth seed Sonix to qualify into top 8. Asimo has to somehow beat Muteace to make top 32 winners side. Tea has to fight two G&W in a row. On the losers side, Sisqui and Yaura are expected to fight in the ditto, and then one of them will be fighting Tea. Hurt is supposed to face Light in winners and Kaninabe in losers.
@gerardoortega323 Жыл бұрын
And then Leo vs Tweek before Winners Quarters. A few years ago that would seem absolutely outlandish but I can understand why they were seeded like that, since nowadays they both haven't been performing as well as they used to
@robg6501 Жыл бұрын
Honestly, seeding Asimo 16th, which means he has to play acola in winners round 1 of top 32 is just vile. How do you seed two japanese players who constantly play in Japan to play right into top 32. That portion of bracket made me really upset lol
@christianmedina4107 Жыл бұрын
The first thing is to obvious. Seed 4 vs seed 5 is what have to suppose to happen to enter to top 8. Seeds for enter to top 8: 1 vs 8 2 vs 7 3 vs 6 4 vs 5 Come on is not so hard, and for the last results Glutto deserved that 4th seed.

I understand Dabuz is normally the guy at peak resilence, the gate keeper for amazing players to be considered world contenders but can we appreciate the sheer stamina it takes to play and win one set against Sonix? Sparg0 played 14 games of which, 2 were game 5 wins back to back. That's enough to make turn anyone insane. Also, imagine if the last person to qualify for WTT doesn't reach top 8, that's how stacked that tournament is. The only person in the top8 seeds that has not qualified is Zomba and I'm not sure but I think this is the first time in Ultimate's history that Leo was seeded outside top8.

@basil1913 Жыл бұрын
You are wrong and here’s why, Miya only won 1 or 2 sets all time against acola ever . Spargo and sonix sets are much closer and especially due to coinbox always in grands . Also Miya can’t be ranked ahead of spargo when both major tournaments that Miya played that had spargo, spargo won , khagharibi and battle of bc, not to mention spargo beat Miya .
@dingo9696 Жыл бұрын
@@basil1913 nobody gives a shit about online dude. Sonix has only won one big tournament this year. Acola and miya both have more than spargo, something like 10.
@legrandliseurtri7495 Жыл бұрын
@@dingo9696 Sparg0 didn't get as many opportunities to win major events as Miya did. If you look at the tournaments that each of them entered and then compare the proportion that each one won, it's a much closer race between Miya and Sparg0 than if you only look at how many they won in total. Also, while Miya has won many more A-tier events than Sparg0, they're even when it comes to supermajors(Sparg0 won two P-tiers, two S-tiers, while Miya won one P-tier, three S-tier).
@legrandliseurtri7495 Жыл бұрын
@@basil1913 One, there is a third major where both Sparg0 and Miya played, which is super smash con. Miya got 3rd and did an epic losers run to get there. Sparg0 got 49th. Two, that is not how rankings work lol.

I dont watch/play ultimate, as a melee player. I mean I will tune in every now and then just to see what is happening especially if its a split melee/ult tourney. But most of the time I tune in its either a sonic stalling or a steve playing just as lame as sonic. I watched the big house melee which was a super stacked really dope tournament. Then a few hours later tuned back in to see what ultimate was doing. It was grand finals. There was maybe 15 people in the crowd and 2 steves on screen. It was the most boring saddest thing I have ever seen. I was wondering why no one was there and I am guessing it was maybe because steve wasn't banned? I just thought ultimate was dead. Glad to see tournaments can still be kinda hype as long as there isn't a steve. If it was up to me steve and sonic would both be banned but its not up to me and again I really dont care.
@legrandliseurtri7495 Жыл бұрын
The big house, for Ultimate, was a small b-tier event with only one top player, which happened to be Onin/Pocket, a Steve main. It's not too surprising that he ended up in grand finals. The guy who faced him, Syrup, was one out of the maybe 7 or 8 high level players at the event. So the Steve ditto in grand finals was really just a coincidence. Maybe, since you're primarily a Melee fan, you should avoid talking about Ultimate if you don't really know what's going on.
@x9x9x9x9x9 Жыл бұрын
@@legrandliseurtri7495 I am just giving my outsider opinion. Steve came in and made a slower game, actually boring to watch. I mean its still fun to play casually but boring to watch when its steve or a sonic player. Why did big house go from being one of the biggest tournaments for both smash games to a B tier for ultimate?
@legrandliseurtri7495 Жыл бұрын
@@x9x9x9x9x9 It might have something to do with the fact that NA had another ultimate major one week before(rise&grind) and a supermajor one week after(luminosity makes moves miami). Meanwhile, Melee's last major was apparently in August, according to Liquidpedia.
