There are cameras everywhere, but once they identify them nothing happens. They should catch them and force them to do city cleaning for one year for free. After one year of hard work they will think twice before vandalizing

Woke activists would then accuse the cameras of civil rights violation and unfair targeting of disenfranchised groups. Any further proceeding would lead to civil rights lawsuits from ACLU.

BART needs to come up with a different station entry design. Maybe rework the roof to better block the elements so you don't need to install those glass weather barriers. Or, they can redesign the glass walls. For example, you can break up the glass wall into tiles that are fastened together. Or, use plexiglass tiles instead of glass. It would be less expensive to replace smaller tiles than huge panes of glass. And, it would require a lot more effort by vandals to break dozens and dozens of tiles. The tiles could be 18" or 24" square tiles. Just my 2 cents.

If the canopies had to have transparent walls, maybe chain-link scaffolding should have been used. Things have increasingly gotten worse with mentally ill people since Reagan eliminated mental health funding and facilities across the country. In 1981 President Ronald Reagan, who had made major efforts during his governorship to reduce funding and enlistment for California mental institutions, pushed a political effort through the Democratically controlled House of Representatives and a Republican controlled Senate to repeal most of MHSA.
