The karate guy has some fighting skills, but lacks some strategy tips... One of his biggest mistakes was not controlling his territory in the arena space, so he got cornered most of the time. Most fighters allways forget to control the territory. Congratulations for your easy victory, Gabriel...you show him that being older doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

In my humble opinion it really did look like you dominated in that fight. At no more did I think you were losing at all. I dont think your opponent took you down at all? Mean while you had him on the ground all throughout the match.

Hi Gabriel, during your fight i heard Bas Rutten commenting on the ground and pound "one knee to the ground rule". He mentioned that its forbidden to press one knee to the ground while punching. I didnt know it was a rule , did you? And thank u so much for the inspiration! Keep the great videos coming!!!🤗
@gluehuffer69552 жыл бұрын
As someone said: Just to let you know for the future, commentary was saying having a knee on the ground while hitting is illegal. Knee On the belly is fine though, something to consider. Fantastic performance though! Loved that left hook you spun him with. I imagine it's a shot that's going to be big for you considering that a lot of opponents might not be used to defending them well.

Bruh ... Listen. I'm 40 years old and just started fighting and I honestly am in better shape than I was at 20. When I heard this dude was calling you old....I couldn't wait to watch the fight to see how you were gonna do and man you didn't disappoint. You schooled this young boy and hopefully taught his goofy ass a lesson. Don't ever underestimate your opponent.... This was the epitome of that lesson. You are inspiration brother!
@Explorshon1232 жыл бұрын
I mean, you make a good point but I think his opponent deserves more respect than calling him goofy, yes he underestimated Gabriel but the man is still a warrior with guts and heart. Maybe he was using the "old man" insults as a way of trying to get into Gabriel's head before the fight began, psychological warfare, but yeah, as an older guy myself I see where you are coming from. I don't know if you watch streetbeefs on youtube, but there are a couple of older guys there who fight, one of them is 51 or so, you should check em out.

Nice fight! You were definitely in control throughout. In my experience Karate guys often lack lateral and head movement. Probably because there isn't really much full contact training that includes punches to the head. I have to say, I am not a big fan of these hybrid rules, like 5 seconds on the ground. Plus, these angular "walls" are odd to me. I would expect that they can trip you quite easily when you move backwards. It's all a bit weird. But I guess the shape of the ring is what many organisations use at the moment to set themselves apart from others..
