I was 4 lol... but I was a big metalhead because of my dad. He was big into iron maiden, sabbath, motorhead, but also had a punk faze si loved the pistols as well as prog like genesis and pink floyd etc... the latter (prog) I didn't get into until recently due to a stoner metal phase I'm into which is very close to prog blues lol. I love blues too so recently got into lighter stuff like blues rock, led zeppelin, rolling stones hendrix (stuff that wasn't heavy enough when I was younger but now I'm 30 I appreciate the blues a while lot more, genuinely love muddy waters and BB). Which has brought me to these beauties... never gave them any time for whatever unknown reason but as I'm into a lot of fuzz pedal using bands I had to give them a listen and I've been listening to them all day since the first song. Love the grunge but also punky as well as the blues rock solos mixed in - they are an incredible band and I don't know how I missed being a fan of them when I was younger.

Xavier Morales You can't really place them. You can only really trace their orgins back to the grunge era and the late 90's early 2000 goth, more darker era. They fit into many genres musically. Alot of good bands can pull that off. However, they never touched emo territory. I love emo, but definitely not something SP ever sounded like. I think it's considered whatever you think it is, or as you remember it. Look at these silly people almost fighting about the subject. My dad and his best friend went to Joliet High School with the drummer Jimmy Chamberlin in the 70's. They used to smoke weed together behind the bleachers before classes. I never got to see or meet the man, but every time I watch this MV I always think about that.

*Lyrics* My reflection dirty mirror There's no connection to myself I'm your lover I'm your zero I'm the face in your dreams of glass So save your prayers For when you're really gonna need 'em Throw out your cares and fly Want to go for a ride? She's the one for me She's all I really need, oh yeah She's the one for me Emptiness is loneliness and loneliness is cleanliness And cleanliness is godliness, and God is empty just like me Intoxicated with the madness, I'm in love with my sadness Bullshit fakers, enchanted kingdoms The fashion victims chew their charcoal teeth I never let on, that I was on a sinking ship I never let on that I was down You blame yourself, for what you can't ignore You blame yourself for wanting more She's the one for me She's all I really need, oh yeah She's the one for me She's my one and only

seriously one of the most unique guitar riffs I've ever heard. Before I learned this song on guitar I always thought the sliding palm muting part was just some type of synth. Amazing.

I remember them opening for Metallica...and Billy singing the lyrics "Emptiness is loneliness, Loneliness is emptiness, then God is empty, just like me." Instead of ending with a low key "me" like in this video, Billy just roared, "God is empty, just like ME!" It was awesome.
