Suspensions working buttery smooth! Or is Fort William riding soft? It is compared to Croatia. Makes FW look like the pump track.

Watch at 4:58 and see if Rachel can still mix it with the men like lots of people say 🤔

She's a great rider, I don't get all the people saying stuff like that. Men and women are inherently different at a biological level, there is no reason to compare their times. All ya gotta know is she's a badass rider.

it doesn't seem like gender has anything to do with this. it's loris on a 29er and drafting. rachel is sprinting and loris is coasting. rachel hits all the jumps perfectly and like a pro but has to cut the wind on her own with the smaller wheels. loris' behavior is a bit unfortunate though. on our instagram page, he commented that this was during timed training and he got frustrated.

Ballbag Bill Ive been watching full races on KZbin a bit and I don't think the speed difference (which is usually pretty large) is due to lack of skill. I think it has more to do with body weight (smaller and lighter, carrying less speed and momentum) and being physically weaker (being tired slows you down and makes it harder to throw your bike around through corners and through jumps). Because of that, I don't think it's fair to compare men and women's times directly. However it's definitely cool and impressive when someone gets close to matching the guys.

Even on my motorcycle I'm the second fastest in my riding group and under extreme braking and cornering the physical strength you need wears me down. The fastest rider in my group mentioned that the only times he feels he can shake me are through the quick chicanes where it takes a lot of strength to throw your bike from side to side.

Sure weight matters but and that is the problem rachel don't have a real competition. I think most of the women think to much about it. When I watch the Elite Men on DH, compared to the Elite Women if there is a speed trap really slower, 10 mph sometimes and then there are the junior mens who are sometimes not even 16years old and weight nothing and could you compare more to the weight class to most elite women. They are also faster , why and how could that be if it would be that much about the weight ? It is more like the CC, weight/power ratio, I don't think that they are that much weaker. It is more the brain and risk more or just don't care at all what would happen. Also look at Danny he is also not really that heavy. It must be a reason why MTB skill training camps for mens and women try to teach them it in a different way even if it is the same trail they would approach and tell you different things even if the end result that you could go with full force into that without fear is the same.

+cortarelva honestly if he wants to stick to 27.5 that's fine but if other people prefer a different size he shouldn't have a stick up his ass about it. it's not like it affects him.
