Great stuff man. With programmers it's so common to just keep coding and adding features and styling things, which makes you feel productive and like you're working on something, but really you know you should be out there talking to customers and selling your product or service. You just know that is the case but it's hard, it's stepping outside of the comfort zone... I can't be rejected or told that my product sucks if I'm in my room at night coding this feature that nobody asked for... and I know because it's my situation right now! Glad youtube recommended this video, I enjoyed the content. Keep it up.

The idea of the 'margin' is really helpful. It gives clarity and tangibility to the idea of knowing the precise point when you should start. That in turn gave me the traction I need to push myself over the edge and get started on a few things today!

Active procrastination - Time is thinking - 25% leads to creativity and is good, more is harmful but the cold water does not get warmer when you jump late

Sam your videos are amazing high quality and value! I have been following you for some time and you have been a great support on my journey. I have been stuck in life over the last 10 years figuring out myself, not being able to get into action as I was not strong enough to face all discomforts that come with taking action. Since a year I know that I have a "gifted" mind, that resulted in a very strong adapted and conforming childhood with analyis-paralysis, and resulting in nog being really myself hand hiding my "real me" until a few months ago. I have found myself and what I'm here to do. Waking up at 5:00AM to do creative work and finally live the life that until now only existed in the domain of fantasy. Working out daily, minimized alcohol consumtion eating healthy and going to bed early. Actually implementing all the knowledge I have consumed over the years. Question: You share your resources openly and craft your work and ideas to the quality content you create. How do you look at people using your ideas in their content? Ofcourse I'm up for crafting my own perspective and way of delivery as that is part of the creative process that is required to make it my own, but I realize the more things come to the essence what "self help" is actually about (your content), any attempt from deviating from that is less closer to truth than is already said. What are your thoughts about that? Thank you again! I will now get back to work! (btw, I'm 34, consumed 10 years of YT and this is my first YT comment ever. No joke. Consider my level of hiding;) )

Stoked to hear about your transformation brother! My ideas are not my own. They've been synthesized through experience, other people's material, observation, and so on. Take what you like but put your own angle on it like you said.

great channel! Maybe some more stuff about healthy positive mindset, how to have more energy, confidence, etc? :) Anyway, thank you for your videos, very informative!

Thank you so much, Sam. I often fall into the information trap. It's interesting that there is still a reward and value in gathering information but it turns quickly into information overload. I like the graphics you showed about balance between information and action too. What's cool about it is that it feels really exciting to work like that. As long as you know what you want to do and why and realise the exact bits of information you need, you get to grow, test and learn. This video was wonderful. Have a great day! :)

Yeah, once you're acting in that "iterative" mode it becomes addicting in its own way. Great feeling.
