Very nice run. Just curious, what got you into speedrunning this game?

Monkey Ball is where I first started speedrunning anything, it was May 2015 that someone I knew from Mario Kart Wii videos posted a video announcing he was going live on Twitch to stream SMB2 speedruns and from there I was hooked. I figured I could do that too and slowly but surely got to top 10 level in 4 years of playing on and off. Fun fact: it was some months after I did my first SMB2 run once I had LiveSplit working that I got my Perplexus Original out for the first time in a bit and tried running that, at some point I found the Marty and UncleDaver Original and Epic runs and set those as my longterm goals.

Dude thats so cool. I played this game for the first time recently and I really wish I was able to get into it more. How long into the future do you plan to keep speedruning?

As long as I'm alive or until my hands completely give up on me

There are plenty of resources to help with learning the game now and many runners who are more than willing to answer any questions new players may have
