Beloved brothers and sisters, today I feel the weight of a message that the Lord has impressed upon my heart-a call that will stretch us, challenge us, and awaken something deep within our spirits. This is not a comfortable word, but one that calls us to rise above complacency and embrace the fullness of God’s intention for His Church. The Holy Spirit is stirring, beckoning us to move beyond shallow traditions and into the depths of His heart. The Church that truly belongs to Christ is not marked by conformity to this world but by a radical apprehension of the end, rooted in the profound knowledge of our beginning. We are called to be a peculiar people, set apart, carrying the weight of God’s purposes and His eternal kingdom.
The Spirit is grieved when we treat His gifts and His presence as mere utilities to make our gatherings exciting or to prop up religious systems. The Holy Spirit is not a convenience or an accessory. He is the Spirit of holiness, ruach ha'kodesh, and He deserves reverence. A Church that traffics in superficial displays of power but neglects the awe of God has forfeited its authority. A true Church, an apostolic Church, is one that lives with a deep sense of God’s holiness, a fear of the Lord that shapes every action and decision.
We must wake up to the reality that our faith is not just a personal comfort or a Sunday tradition-it is the very life of God made manifest in a world lost in darkness. To be this Church, we must embrace the fullness of our inheritance, knowing we are grafted into the spiritual commonwealth of Israel. The patriarchs, the Psalms, the history of God’s dealings with His people-they are our treasure. Do we cherish them? Do we dwell in the Psalms, not just reading them as a duty but embracing them as a love song to our God? To know the heart of David, to cry out to God as he did, is to know the heart of God Himself. This is the essence of a Church that is Davidic-a Church beloved by God because it reflects His very character.
But this calling is not without cost. A Church that truly walks in the purposes of God will find itself in conflict with the systems and values of the world. It will be misunderstood, mocked, and even hated. The powers of darkness recognize a Church that threatens their dominion, and they will oppose it fiercely. But this opposition is the mark of authenticity. It is the evidence that we are walking in step with the Spirit, carrying the cross of Christ, and bearing the weight of His kingdom.
We must be prepared for suffering, for trial, and for misunderstanding. A Church that apprehends the end knows that it will face tribulation, not as an aberration, but as the refining fire of God’s purposes. This is not a message of escape but of engagement. God is raising up a Church that will stand in the gap for Israel, for the nations, and for His kingdom. A Church that will move the Jewish people to jealousy, not through programs or strategies, but through the undeniable reality of God’s life within us. Our calling is not to offer false comfort or to avoid the hard truths but to speak prophetically, even when it costs us.
The powers of darkness tremble at a Church that understands these things. They know that a people marked by the Spirit, grounded in God’s Word, and willing to forfeit the esteem of men are a threat to their reign. Are we willing to be that Church? Are we willing to lose our reputation, our comfort, even our lives, for the sake of His name? The Holy Spirit is asking us to make this decision today-not as a passing emotion but as a defining moment. Will we choose to be marked by the fear of God rather than the approval of men?
Beloved, this is a serious hour. The Lord is not calling us to a comfortable Christianity but to a radical, transformative faith that will shake the heavens and the earth. Let us be the Church that stands unshaken, rooted in the knowledge of God, and ready to fulfill His purposes, no matter the cost. The Spirit is moving. Let us not shrink back but step forward, with hearts ablaze for His glory. Amen.
