In this video we build another Kegerator, this time with a few extract parts and on a Smeg fridge. We install secondary regulators so that we can have different pressure on the gas lines.
For all your needs to build this check out our dispense section www.themaltmil...

It reminds me of the time I had one of the best beers I have ever had which was at a Camp site in the German Black Forest and the site had a beer tap in the middle of a tiled wall and the Site lady said that I had to wait for mein Grosse and mein Klena. Ein Kliena ein Grose. Lovely stuff as good as Bass in its way.

You could easily fit a tap on a wall and have a fridge under the counter at home

Nice one bud great little build and a few tips, I've got 6 kegs just on 1 regulator and 6way manifold. May upgrade to secondary regulator some time, as all my beers are on the same serving pressure. Cheers

Can you force carb inside the fridge this way? I'm looking to do something similar to this but worried about the 3/16 line your running through the drain hole being able to handle the higher pressures.
@themaltmiller8438
@themaltmiller8438 2 жыл бұрын
We have had 30 PSI running through 3/16 line no issue. If you are carbing in the fridge my guess is you are going the longer route with lower pressure. Either way it will be no issue.
@andyfarrandful
@andyfarrandful 2 жыл бұрын
@@themaltmiller8438 Ah great, I did a quick test earlier and set it to 30 psi but turned the gas off incase anything broke. Pressure held ok with no issues so I've set it all up in the fridge now with the gas on. Thanks for the reply.

using 3/8 pipe on a short run,do you not get loads of foam

Hi. Great video! Your earlier kegerator build using the LEC fridge used 3/16 line for the keg to tap. This one looks like it uses 3/8 line. Is that because you are using the flow control taps so no need to reduce the like flow?
@themaltmiller8438
@themaltmiller8438 3 жыл бұрын
The 3/16 works well to restrict the flow on taps that don't have flow control but also as we have secondary regulators in this one we can dial in the serving PSI even more accurately
@richardwilkinson77
@richardwilkinson77 3 жыл бұрын
@@themaltmiller8438 thanks. so would you use the 3/16 line on with flow control taps as well?

Best not to. You will ice up your compressor. It's not meant to handle the extra size and humidity of the fridge, just the icebox

What a build as I'm new to this but keen to learn can you point me in the right direction of the parts where to purchase. Are these builds safe to be in a house garage. Im a engineer by trade and would love a go at building one of these. Any advice would be great. Also how do you transfer from a keg from the brewery to these smaller kegs. Cheers Rob
