@@gaildauenbaugh655 I understand your concerns but have you read the book? There are some deep truths in it that are not being taught in many churches. Sad to say but there is a Spirit of unbelief being taught in churches today and no wonder so many people in the body of Christ have very little faith to believe God for healing. Faith cometh by hearing not once but continuously the Word of God. You can't read a healing scripture every now and then and expect your faith to be built up when sickness comes. As it concerns the teaching about prosperity, Christ came to redeem us from the curse of the law. When sin entered the world it ushered in poverty, sickness, and death. Jesus said the poor will be with you always, but not that you would remain that way. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 1:2 KJV God does not want us being impoverished and broke. You can't help people when remaining in that state. My parents were poor growing up. They grew up in a family of sharecroppers picking cotton. My mom used to walk 5 miles to school but still managed to get her high school diploma. My mom got saved at an early age and has a close relationship with God. Because of that the Holy Spirit led her and our family out of poverty. She has made some of the best financial decisions and choices for our lives that it amazes me and she follows the guidance of the Holy spirit.
