i was working that saturday in a power station in east london listening to radio five live my heart was in my mouth for the 90 minutes,spoke to a friend of mine later who was at the game he never experience such emotions after the game he left celtic park 3 hours after the final whistle.fans drove to the stadium from all over Scotland just to be there with there kids the east end closed down,great times happy memories and great club

I was 15 at the time. Didn't know anything but rangers domination and it was really starting to hurt. I just remember not really knowing what to feel. To this day it's my number 1 sporting memory. Only a win in Seville would have come close. Can't think it'll ever be topped.

I mind this so well, was still at school and Larsson was my HERO and my God did he deliver. What a fucking goal! Wim Jansen might not have been our gaffer for long but for bringing Larsson and Moravcik to Celtic and stopping their 10-in-a-row the man is a Celtic legend. Hail hail, Wim. 👍 ☘️ ❤️

Strolling about hampden on this day with a mate. No plans. Met two mates from school got a taxi to parkhead. This day remains the best of my life. Was outside parkhead no ticket and seeing alot of holyrood goers. The place was mobbed out the front of paradise with everyone on the radios to see how rangers where doing. We could hear how celtic were doing as the noise was astounding. A helicopter was flying above the ground that day with the word on the street the cup was on board. We were shouting at it willing it to stay and have a birds eye view of paradise for the day. It was on the move though and was sporadically making a noticable appearance. Outside parkhead that day was the second best atmosphere ive experienced due to the sense of hope and anticipation of the celtic fans and the camaraderie that only the tims know. During half time we done a lap of the stadium and me and the three amigos could hear that john higgins was on the pitch with newly won world title (think that was same day). We got back to our spot in front of the red brick and it was as amazing as the first half with the added nervousness that comes with being only one up and needing a win. With 15 min to go a steward told us the gates at the lisbon lions stand would be open so we rushed to the stand to find we were in paradise for the greatest day in my life and the rest of the supporters that day. The next hour of our lives was the best experience ever and definetly the best experience ive ever had. Simply amazing. We watched the end of the game, the hoops winning the title lifting the cup and successfully dodging the army of stewards to get onto the hallowed parkhead turf to celebrate with our fellow tims. Kissing grass, strangers and meeting all sorts of mates on that pitch from school and other places will never be beating as a life experience. If it ever was it would have to be extra special.Hope some others that were outside and inside the stadium that day can relate to this post. Id say everyone that was there will. Thanks to all that was there as yous contributed to the madness of that amazing day 9 may 1998. Champs again after a decade. Scarves banners jerseys in green and white hoops will be remembered forever. Thanks for the memories. I was only 8 when this happened, so I don't really have any memories of my reaction to it. What I do remember is my dad and my uncle sitting watching the game, and I couldn't understand why it meant so much. I was a Celtic fan, but only because my dad was. But I'll always remember the emotion and pure joy on my dad and uncle's faces when the final whistle blew. It's only now I realise how big a deal stopping ten in a row was.

I'm a Celtic fan and i've done a bit of research into this... don't ask me how but i found it out =P Anyway there's still alot of our fans who are in denial and still claim Celtic sang it first.
