I know how you feel Ross . Here in the UK things are a nightmare. The new Government is just as bad if not worse than the last shower of self obsessed career politicians. The poor, the very young, the frail and thee old are all at the bottom of the pile. What happened to caring common sense?... I am so glad to see you my friend. I hope that if you ever need anything you will let us, your Utube friends, know. I make a good borrowed Grandma. Thinking of your pillow, my Scottish Grandad would have called it ' A Heeland Coo'. (Highland cow). I can still remember his lilting melodic voice 70 years on. Take care of yourself. 😊. We all need to help one another if we can. A kind word can go a long way❤ . Love Lynne in London xxx

Thank you so much for coming on and doing a podcast. Thank you also for sharing your thoughts, feelings and memories with us today. I also was very disturbed after hearing Wed. morning news. I was thinking about you yesterday, hoping you would do a youtube of this very kind, and I loved how you stated you plan to be around more often. You have been very helpful to my sad spirit this morning... Mr. Rogers is so helpful, isn't he? I also try to find old epsiodes to listen to when things go sideways. Your little stuffies are so cute-love these! Thanks, Ross for giving some of your time to us out here in youtube land. You are a treasure.

Awe Ross, you are a kind soul and this hits people like you and many I know, differently. I am gutted as you know, because you know me. I want you to know that I have started knitting hats for the unhoused, to channel my grief a bit. I am using your Ross hat pattern. I have also made the choice to delete so many people from my life and that feels good as well. This is a disaster for everyone, but more than half the country doesn’t realize it yet. I am also channeling my energy into protecting my daughter. Thank you for speaking out.

Is there a way to make a Ross hat for your little snowman? I think that would be totally adorbs. In your favourite neon so he doesn't get lost in the snow. Probably hard to do one that small, though. Sounds like you were in shock yesterday morning too - I'm not even American and I am going through the stages of grief! Still in denial, kind of stuck there. Knitting stuffed animals sounds like a good plan, they are very cute and it will feel good to knit your own little army. I would too if i could knit. I suppose i could crochet some though. OK, now i'm rambling...good to see you pop up in my feed anytime you want to send something out. Happy to see you; love you, please stay well.

I share your fear and concerns with regard to uncertainty ahead of us. Fred Rogers is definitely a good safe haven. I'm taking a break from the news now, personally, and focusing on ways I can keep the people in my life safe who are the most fearful right now. Just know that all across this country there are people who see you for the person you are, and won't ever stop fighting for your rights or safety. We have to rally together and look out for each other in the days to come. That's what I vow to do.

Those cassette tapes sound like such a treasure. When I was 5, the Christmas before my grandfather passed, my grandparents gifted me one of those cardboard storybooks of classic poem, The Night Before Christmas. It's the sort with a cassette tape inset into a cutout in the book, where you read along to the narrations of the tape and it chimes when you should turn the page. I still have that book and tape set on a bookshelf in my home, nearly 35 years later. I don't have a cassette player currently, but it's still such a treasure.
