Small correction: the imitation of the ironing steam smell in H24 is in the base, not the opening. It starts botanical and then turns steamy.

Most of these I've not yet experienced with the exception of LDDM. Strangely, I fall in the middle when referencing if it works on my skin or not. Does it revolt me? No, but do I find it the masterpiece many others do? Heeeeell no!!! lol I found it to be okay. You put it best when you said how "underwhelming" it was. That's exactly how I felt. I kept hearing the discussions back and forth about it but through everything, I heard it was a vivid, challenging experience. Often times, I look forward to a fragrance like that but this.....it wasn't vivid....it wasn't challenging. It was just so underwhelming for me. Anyways, that's my experience with it. Thank you for the usual fantastic content as always. Much appreciated!

Great video. I basically agree with all you said except H24! It is quite simple and doesn’t stand out, but in a zen mindset it really hits the spot. By that I mean if we are constrained to a very light mass market fresh fragrance then H24 is about the most genius thing you can do. Bring in white florals rarely used in men’s fragrance. Keep it from being feminine by including crunchy green notes. And lastly to keep it from being a purely botanical fragrance add a synthetic sclarene. To me it is like the smell of a modern art museum

I think Dries Van Noten is being discontinued. Renaud Salmon says he wants to make Amouage more accessible, no weird scents. I guess that explains the latest releases.

Yes and I think Salomon should keep in mind what made Amouage, and certainly weren't accessible and easy to wear fragrances.

However, having watched many of your expert reviews I have come to know and completely trust your judgement so will be backing off! Like you however, I DO completely love many other Guerlains though!

Look man i don’t know about any of the fragrances mentioned in this video except guerlain ci But i totally disagree with him on every thing I don’t know maybe he got a bad sample or it has an issue. It’s my signature scent and i love perfumes and have a bunch of them and let me tell you man this is the best one i have smelled in my entire live specially leather ones if you like tf tuscan and ombre leather you will like this one even better and I’m convinced that nothing is near the beauty of this fragrance. everyone who smells it compliments my scent and ask me about it The best thing about it it has a nuclear performance 100/10 longevity and projection 3 sprays on the neck will last minimum 1 day and be projecting extreme even after +12h Totally worth every cent I would buy again and again for sure! I suggest you to give it a try or buy sample of it you won’t regret it.

I do agree with a lot of your choices. The only ones I do not are the ones I am not familiar with. I recently had a disappointing experience with Galloway from Parfum de Marley. I read so many great reviews and loved the description but all I could get was a synthetic harsh sawdust and pepper. I could not stand it but obviously it was the way it smelled on my skin because so many love it.

Have you done any review of Francesca Bianchi yet? I recently sampled and absolutely fell for some of them. Oddly enough for most i tried I don’t get the “eww, so animalic, civet, castoreum, poopy” vibes…rather i get very pleasant honey-loaded slightly sweet Frags…quite nice!

I hated LDDM too, have had it 3 years but I'm loving it now. I get the wretching thing with Reflection Man. The one hyped fragrance I don't get at all is Musc Ravageur. It smells like every type of urinal cake, mixed into one, with a hint of urine and furniture polish!! 🤣

Cuir Intense description made me laugh 😅. I think H24 is pretty good. Your comments on Desert Marocain stung a little tbo. I think it's a masterpiece and one of the only fragrances that transports me to the desert. But, that's what is great about fragrance and skin chemistry, the experience is different for everyone.

*Guerlain les absolus d'orient are wonderful. And Cuir Intense and Encens Mythique are my favourite ones 🤭🤭🤭 *Amouage / my favourite house/ ... if they continue with sh.t perfumes like the latest ones soon will be gone , out of the hiche market. The last Amouage perfumes have no character, they are just like normal designer fragrances. *H24 is good on my skin , 20 minutes after the first spray. But nothing WOW . After Terre d'Hermes this H24 can not compete with it.

I totally get where you are coming from with regards to the Andy Tauer fragrance. For me it can smell like paint thinner with spices in the opening, but it's the dry down that I enjoy. Also, I'm not sure what occasion there would be to where this because of it's potency.

Dear AC, loved seeing you in this element 👌 you could actually be a roaster. However, I've noticed something - you said the amber smells like ambergris, isn't that false? Isn't amber or amber woods a synthetic resinous sort of smell while ambergris is a oceanic, salty slightly animalic smell. Ambroxin is the synthetic version is ambergris and I thought it had nothing to do with it. I have Maison Anthony marmain's sheikh Al faransi which is an ambergris based oil and it does not have any similar amber wood/resinous facets that seem predominant in ambre sultan or Armaf niche oud. Could you please clarify?

LADDM is still a favourite of mine, one of my favourite spicy / herbal ambers, works great on my skin and I do get some of the notes mentioned. This and SL Ambre Sultan are two of my favourite spicy ambers. And yes, SL Ambre Sultan is way better. Agree that there is a lot of BS regarding the dessert notes etc…and it does come across as a bit dated today.

Most of these fragrances seem to be tested from a decant, which might be the reason why you don't like them. If they are made from a spray bottle, not a flacon, they turn quickly, especially if they contain natural materials. It would be interesting to try them from a proper bottle or a factory sample. Speaking from a personal experience with decants or sprayed samples they make at Nordstrom and similar stores. Not saying you might still dislike them, but at least you'd know for sure. Some of the fragrances I dislike are original A*Men, F Black by Ferragamo, Creed Silver Mountain Water, Bvlgari Man in Black... It's all personal and like Lanier Smith likes to say: "Wear what you love, not what they say you should like!"

Never tried LDDM, but from what I've heard (from others and this video) it seems like raw spices straight out of a spice cabinet - and that's a big NO from me, love spices but as you said it better be blended well. Might be nice to have a decant to transport myself to a spice market, but sounds like an unwearable perfume

Dear reviewer, the way you describe Amouage Meander is exactly what I mean with being dissapointed in niche fragrances. The performance is so bad, it is beyond imagination and that for the price you pay. Too strange, just strange. Also Cuir de Russie. I tested it many many times (because live in Amsterdam I can easily test it in the shoppingmal) Also bought a bottle. But give it away. It is a nothingness. The emperor without clothes. What is wrong with this guys from Chanel, are they mocking there customers. I cannot understand. Sometimes I read a book and I cannot get the point, but have patient and patient. Till I finisch the book and have to make the conclusion....even after all this pages, I don't get the clou. Throwing the book away......or a movie you watch and hope that it wil "get" you. This is Cuir the Russie from Chanel and a lot of them lack performance. Happy someone mention this things and it is not only my observation. Thanxxx.

H24 is mega-rubbish! So boring, so bland, so much nothing…TdH EDT or TDH Parfum is way better. Even the TDH Fraiche sucks so much…they should stop trying to reinvent the TDH line via flankers..just release more new Frags under new names.
