I need to try smelt as bait as we are using maggots here in Lithuania on the big lakes and they don't seem very productive this year. Thanks for the video and tips guys.

I use the stomach from smelts as bait I cut it in pieces usually get enough for three hooks and the stomach stays on much longer ! If you've never tried it before give it a try ;)

We use the eyes of the smelts, then throw the rest in the ice cooler.
