This really is a fine performance by a great orchestra conducted so well by Vaclav Neumann. I think their teamwork for the complete Ma Vlast is one of the best all-time. Thanks for posting!

Superb performance! Despite the somewhat older recording technology (of 1967), this one can still be served as a touchstone for all performances of these three selections of Smetana favorites. Maestro Václav Neumann reminds me of Toscanini, with his razor-sharp precision and rock-solid rhythmic control. Thanks for the upload.

Very good. Have seen two concert and one opera performance only by Neumann. The opera was Rusalka. Neumann got the greatest applause - even if the cast included Marion Vodicka, Benackova and Nesterenko. But for Bartered Bride, turn to Jaroslav Vogel, even if in mono.

(Один из ответов - название, переводящееся как Плененная невеста, должно и сама мелодия должна показать, что Северная Корея - самая беспощадная страна в мире, пересечь границу которой означает смертный приговор, ибо ты, как пленная невеста из балета, должен работать на Трудовую партию Кореи).
