Anybody with dairy plant experience, can you tell me how the filler jobs are compared to the pasteurizer jobs? Are they equally the same as far as performing the jobs?? Pretty mush everything just seems like it's setting up and then basically monitoring.

I can't comment on this particular line, but I work in a dairy in the US that uses a typical gravity fed filler and a HTST pasteurizer. Europe typically uses UHT pasteurization and the video shows an air injected filler.. Fillers typically are easy creatures. A misaligned bottle, poor labeling, failed capping, no printing. A good filler operator is just someone who notices these things are out of place and stops production immediately. Harder than it sounds, because when it works well it is exceedingly boring, but you must pay attention to keep things from going wrong. A typical HTST is not a machine made by a single company, but a series of pumps, a separator, a heating / cooling / regenerative heating, pipes, valves and legal systems that are built by different companies and slapped together. Significantly easier to operate than the filler, since one must simply enter which butterfat you want into the microcontroller and it produces cream and the desired butterfat milk automatically. Significantly harder when something goes wrong, because it can fail silently, making out of spec milk or cream with no outward indication. Or it can fail hard without any clear indication of why. A pasteurizer's job is harder just because they spend more time consulting the sacred chickens and doing voodoo when things go wrong.
