This is GREAT. You had me laughing out loud at multiple points, I loved the references to wii bowling and the wacky animations, especially because I have fond memories of both of those things. Yeah, the girls do have a lot more plot armour compared to the male characters who are always getting beaten up without notice. It could even lead into some character development where Maggie could learn to be more humble, and comes to terms that she can’t always be the best at everything.

I like how Mario is so good at bowling when it comes to his stupidity and lacking techniques, meggy may have been very bad lately but alot of training and efforts would give her great physical strength at this rate, bowling is a good sport they tried for a video, we should most certainly give more attention over casual sports, 1st we seen them playing basketball and now bowling, great work SMG4 :)

I liked that this episode was mainly about Mario and Meggy competing with each other, but this is one of the rare occasions where their current character and personalities work. Meggy used to be a character that actually did things or was the responsible one, but now they’ve pretty much swapped her and Saiko with a few changes. On top of that, she’s seen mostly being a horrible person to Mario despite her being his friend. This also seems to be an issue among a lot of the cast. While of course it’s usually Mario’s fault for causing a problem, I feel that SMG4 has made everyone treat Mario as if he was Meg from family guy. It even went as far as them all beating him up simply because he showed up. This however, is a huge problem for meggy as it’s twisted her character. People want the arc meggy, not the “quirky” meggy. Mario on the other hand definitely needs some improvements as well. It seems that he is vilified most of the time and his funny moments only shine when he’s the cause of a conflict. He’s dumb, I get it. But he’s also a key character who also used to have proper influence on a story. I believe that everything after the lawsuit arc has been detrimental to the quality of SMG4 videos. The new designs of some characters were amazing, but people like Boopkins got the laziest looks ever. It was also around this time that a lot of unique characters had their character traits changed. Some of the most unique people like Tari have become boring to watch in my opinion, and it seems that many others are rarely implemented in the videos. I think that the cause of characters being excluded from a story is because they don’t seem to it in it. However, had their personalities been changed correctly (or not changed at all) they totally could have fit. I want to see episodes that highlight the less popular characters, but they’re only shown whenever everyone’s together or when they’re just a side character. The episodes can have multiple main characters (as does this one), so I don’t see why they can’t have their turns. You could of course argue with me and show times where characters have been improved because of their changes, but you’ll be quick to realise how even you might agree that the older versions of everyone were possibly better. Anyway that’s all I’m here to say. As a final remark, I’d like to leave a message about the way SMG4 gets his feedback in my opinion. Back when hobo bros was a thing (I barely see any of it now), Luke and Kevin would be engaging with their community with things like Reddit or submissions. Them constantly going to their communities gave them constructive feedback which they did implement into the future. However, I think that feedback is now only seen through comments and they only take feedback biased towards supporting how they do things. I’d go on about this but that’s enough for today.
