This is my first time watching an SMG4 episode from start to finish since 2018. The randomness and return of Mario characters like Shy Guy, Toad, and Bowser brought smiles to my face just like the SM64 blooper days. Overall a great redemption to see this style return (despite the redesign). And I'm a fan of the GameCube system too, so nice to see one of my favorite consoles getting attention!

Well, you're lucky, I was there, and I witnessed its slow descent which I divided into 4 parts: The small potholes, The rise of the Arcs, The Mouth of the Abyss and finally the Bottom of the abyss. The first part of this journey goes back to the Golden Age of Smg4, Year 2016, where things were simpler for this channel and its random humor felt truly genuine, this point is actually made up of episodes that started very well but ended in a very abrupt, anticlimactic way or that they were very rushed, but that were still enjoyable. Example of The first thing to end abruptly and anticlimactically is: Mario the Olympian. and the second example that it was very rushed and strange is: Mariotale. The second part takes us to the constant appearance of Meggy, Saiko and finally Tari. The problem of these three were only 3. 1. They did not suffer comically in the same way that the other characters do, and there are few moments in which this happened. Most notorious example: Mario Preschool, when Fishy bookings makes an officer brutally throw himself against meggy for saying that she does Fanfiction. 2. They were too stressed, especially Meggy but excluding Tari since this point only belongs to Meggy and Saiko, they did everything well and in a way... let's say, victorious and humiliating for others, basically if the script doesn't dictate it They will always win at everything. 3. This point is exclusive to Saiko, The Wasted Villain. She had huge potential to become an antagonist like Smg3 or bowser. But in the end she suffered the same treatment as Enzo and the Doritos Villager, An abrupt redemption... and with her for convenience because she would be the end of Bob's arc. In this second era, in fact, it was where the arcs would begin. Although, despite being a little more serious, they still had that characteristic humor of classic Smg4 in abundance, so they were quite still tolerable. but this was the point where we reached the 4th stage of this journey, since the Mouth of the Abyss was ironically an Arc, the Arc of the War against Anime and Meggy's transformation into Human... Oh God where am I going to start... This arc was SO out of place with the nature of Smg4 that it even made you cringe in many moments. Drama, suspense and death of important characters plus an ending as corny as rancid. This would be the decline of Smg4, But we haven't quite hit the bottom yet. From then on, the funny episodes were few, most of them were rather shameless advertising to the New Meggy like: Meggy's destiny, Meggy moves in, Meggy's part-time job or even worse, The Pursuit of Happiness, My New Adventure, and She's Back. then two of the Worst episodes they released would come out, Boys vs Girls and Mario is Cancelled, Melony would appear later after episodes that instead from being funny they were weird... and finally we ended up at the edge of the whole Bottom, The Smg4 Movie, Revelations. From here came the new characters, the Weird edits, the humor felt forced, the eventual redesigns of charecters and the rebirth of Smg4 into an Original character in physical terms, all this was the Bottom of the Abyss, where we are now. and it's sad because like BFDI, it faltered in its prime.

How unimaginably enthusiastic!, this wholesome plot and partnership between Mario and SMG4 are amazing and classical!, this whole thing between them getting trapped in an inescapable cube and solving all the levels of challenges in pairs is an amazing idea for Nintendo for a game, this new game idea that miyamoto came up with would be really enjoyably, in other words, keep up the great work SMG4 :)
