Even modern smg4 videos that are parts of arcs are still mostly meant to be silly and fun and stupid. There's only a few videos a year that have serious emotional beats going on, and they're quite nice simply because they don't happen very often. If they happened every other video, i could see what you mean, but it's pretty good right now.
