If they aren't in love, then why do they give signs of a Platonic relationship? Examples being: the episode called smg4 gets sued and at the ending of the anime arc. Not to mention meggy's reaction to the tenth anniversary episode. Also in the lost tapes episode when mario caught meggy when she went flying through the air.
