Little fun fact about the japanese version of Mario Sunshine: when Mario, Toadsworth, and Peach land on Isle Delfino, you can actually hear Mario and Toadsworth having a full conversation! This was cut in the US release of Mario Sunshine though. (Also, Peach’s earrings look like her eyes for just a bit when they land)

GOLDK Ballin' 'Pianissimo' are actually people in disguise as the Pianta people who inhabit the Isle Delfino area. They wear full-head masks and plants as well as ball shaped gloves to try and look the part. Why they do this, I have no idea, but the guy under the mask does look kinda out of place in Mario's world as do his clothes, even if I don't know what the Happy Mask Sailsman looks like. Nintendo is also known for putting Easter eggs of their other series into various games like where you can find Mario pictures in that one Zelda Game for the N64 I believe it was. This is probably one of those Easter eggs.
