I prefer Flying Circus over Rise of Flight, but the AI leaves much to be desired, there are not aggressive enough. What is the display on the lower left to the right of the Heads Up compass, the .1 to .3? Great flying by the way 5:40... I think Werner Voss would approve!

Ok so, IL-2 looks better, has better physics, damage models etc. There is for now less planes than both RoF and WoFF, however they keep adding more each year so Im guessing it will have just as many as RoF.

I tried Rise of Flight and never could get over the terrible damage model. I mean, call me old fashioned, but when I get close in on the enemy’s tail, open fire, and see my tracer rounds going in to the other pilot’s head, I expect that to be a kill. But Noooo… I found it almost impossible to get a kill shooting for center mass where the pilot, fuel, and engine is. Instead it seemed like shooting the wings was much more effective. For a game that detailed, I found such a critical oversight to be game-breakingly ridiculous. Also, having features of the airplanes not modeled for no reason. An example would be the Airco D.H.2 not having pitch trim, when they in fact modeled the pitch trim lever and mechanism in the virtual cockpit; it’s just not functional.

It's a shame that the IL2 team supports Russia's war, I was hoping to get into Flying Circus. Won't happen now, but I enjoy watching these compilations nevertheless.

I had forgotten that the game was made by Russian devs. We all see what Russia is doing in Ukraine and it’s awful, but then again I have seen similar acts of aggression (US invading Iraq in 2003) where there wasn’t nearly as much outrage. We all know Russia is being the worst kind of bullies, but the devs probably think they are being good patriots for supporting their nation’s military objectives. Regardless, while I don’t support the Russian war against Ukraine, I try not to let politics influence my choices in entertainment.

My beautiful southern wife said i remind her if how ww1 dogfights were she says im the most honorable and bravest man she knows because she said she has seen me in alot of fist fights i would face my enemy head on and once i knocked him out the fight was over and id never attack a man from the back and plus how my wife is a traditional wife and does all her womanly duties i do everything for her and defend her honor she said im her protector and safety blanket

And I take all this after my dad and I thank God for that my wife even says im a spitting image of my dad I look just like him and back in the 90s and early 2000s my dad was a pure fist fighter after he got out of the army and I'm a lieutenant in the fire service and a lieutenant in urban search and rescue 2025 will be my 21st year anniversary in the fire service and usar I joined back in 2004 my wife also done 9 years in the fire service
