learning the caves was hard, but using color coded markers for entrances and dead ends, and making reusable save spots deeper within, and having a spot of water and food at the entrances, and never entering the caves, makes the caves so much easier.

The island in the south with boat skeleton has a crossbow in the cave under the water. Just follow the ship. There is a cave along the very top Map of the wall. Kind of in the center right area. There is a cave by the shipping containers. Once you come out into the butthole from one of the caves, look around and there should be a path to walk along it and enter a different cave to go deeper.
