Words aptly spoken. Big love to everyone at the foundation and the great work being done. Ben is sorely missed.

I coincidentally bought an aaron herrington polar deck (well i love polar just picked his board because of the design and wheel wells) anyway... I can totally relate to alot of this. Im ober a year sober from alcohol. Slowly trying to cut off weed now. Glad i got one of his decks.

Thank you to the Foundation, Nick and Aaron for doing this. Ben is so incredibly missed, but what your doing is an absolutely amazing tribute to his life and the importance of community in skateboarding.

Came across the SMiLe series through the recent Ben Raemers Vice documentary. This is the first one I've watched, and I just want to say I really really appreciate hearing experiences from people I feel as if I identify. I was experiencing a very similar mental state to what Aaron is talking about from his own experiences, bizarrely whilst living in what seems to be an area in Brooklyn very close to where this has been filmed, so this has hit home a bit, but in a good way. Thank you for what you guys do.

Thanks aaron for sharing your story I'm sure it will encourage someone to get help. I havent drank in 3 years because I had similar issues and it does suck being the only guy at the skatepark not hitting the joint or drinking a beer but while they are drinking or smoking I am skating and I feel free. I dont go on skate trips so I'm sure thats harder but I know andrew reynolds does it and he is the boss.

@5:20 I was to trying to stop using alcohol and weed - my skate friends did not accept this - I went to rehab to get healthy - I'm 9 years sober now - I put a mile of distance between my old skate friends - My #1 observation about skate Community is that they are immature, and ruthlessly and cruelly unkind. Most skate culture sucks ass... But skating does not.
