hazel you are seriously just the coolest. i was born in 1996, str8 cis male from nyc. my favorite part of your channel has always been how oddly cathartic it is to listen to you describe your memories of consuming media growing up as if they were my own, and then to hear those same influences come through in your music takes it to another level. knowing there are kindred souls out there 3000 miles away across the internet makes the world feel like a much less lonely place.

lately i've been seeing this tumblr post about how nice it is when you hear a song for the first time and immediately know you'll love it forever. it made me realize i hadn't experienced that in a long time (sure, i've found music i love, but i haven't had that immediate knowledge very often). it was a little sad to think about, wondering when the next time would be i'd get to feel that way. and then i decided to listen to this, and "offering" started. thank you, hazel. this whole album is wonderful, but that feeling hit me in the first few seconds of that song and i just had to say something. rewatching your videos has gotten me through a lot of end-of-term stress lately, providing some much needed comfort when not a lot of other things seem to. i feel such a hope and love and renewed wonder, and i want to keep making things forever.

used to release solo music under the name twinkle park, decided to shelve that project and start fresh with smiling broadly last year. used to run the music label pop spirit, where i worked alongside the other artists in various capacities. if you look at that labels bandcamp page and check the credits on each release it should give you a pretty clear breakdown of the projects ive been involved in. hope thats helpful!
