Yes, this will always be a thing atleast while it’s in Alpha. So your gems will double into 2025. No worries dude

I'm down with the changes. I do think it would have been interesting to try a generic power and damage based on ability system but maybe they did try that and it didn't work.

actually might mean clio is a lot later, since they are trying to push the tech of the game forward with each god and if they already have the going into walls tech created they might be less motivated to make clio. but maybe not who knows

I feel like I'm going crazy. Why are they doing these changes?? The new item system, stat scaling and dmg types was the hook of Smite 2. As a massive fan of Smite until Season 4-5 ish, I played almost nothing else. Smite 2's reveal got me really excited because it seemingly was increasing strategy and depth. Every patchnote show they do, they regress closer and closer to being Smite 1. What is going on? Dmg type change is a huge dealbreaker, and I think it's weird how it ain't talked about. Now we might aswell introduce classes again. We no longer have the freedom of going Neith "mage" in mid if you have a physical solo and carry. Expression and depth is massively hampered. I have never been this pressed by a videogame before. I care so much for some odd reason. I thought we were back.

@@KrissPiggie ppl that played the alphas show feedback about how they want to be more close to Smite 1, so they changed it, all gods now have 1 type of dmg but not only 1 type of scaling, you can play a chaac with int, but the dmg is going to be physical, i think is a mistake too, it was something fresh and with a lot of play, but the comunnity wants to play the same game again after 12 years

​@@yeray4290 Yeah, I understand they are taking feedback. I honestly think they are doing a massive mistake. They listen to the wrong crowd. If they keep stripping away the unique selling points of Smite 2, my desire to refund increases. I lose interest at this rate.

@@tanner157 That's the kicker. I don't think these changes will reward Hi-rez with "lose one, gain 10". I voice my opinion because i really care about Smite. I want this game to thrive. What is your thoughts on the damage type changes, and why?

I can really see your points and why it's disappointing. I even kind of agree. I still think this is the best decision for them, because their #1 priority is and should be to bring in new players. That's where their market is. Smite numbers have historically been way too low and that needs to change, so if the game needs to be simpler for a bigger player base then that's a necessary evil. Maybe in time, when the game is successful enough and they are happy with the player base, they can bring back mixed damage types.

My problem with the component building was NOT that it was complicated, but precisely because it was too similar to League... I like Smite for Smite, if I wanted to play League, I would. I dislike this pivot towards more "League-like" moba style... but I'm open to it so long as Smite still feels like Smite.

For what it's worth Sol and Zeus are honorary hybrids because their STR builds go hard for obvious reasons.

Yeah, I guess that's good enough, still I'm glad that every god has both STR and INT on their basic attack scaling, that way i won't feel so bad building the "wrong" scaling on a god

First time, I didn’t like a god on smite, it’s like escaped from japan mmorpg games. Skills,style,mechanics, animations and op properties. nah man this is not harmony with the atmoshere. This is not japan mmorpg game, this is Smite and every God should give that feeling like the mythology at least should be more serious on Smite 2.

At last, solo queue'rs have a shot. And these premades? Fuck em! 🫵 And regarding choosing between aegis or beads, you can get the item Scepter of Dominion and have a delayed aegis in your disposal. It saved my life as Zeus stuck inside a Hades ult, but it's difficult to time it sometimes.
