I feel like the standard skin sounds could easily fade into the background or be masked by other sounds, where Grim Mariachi is out of place and distinct... so maybe a bit easier to pick up on?

Not really , when it comes to footsteps , grim loki has the loudest footsteps in the game , standard loki and both joki n last laugh have the second loudest footsteps , then you have infiltrator loki which has the lowest footsteps ( when u vanish ) Thank me later.

They can, but it's very quiet. But that isn't important. Loki's 3 is supposed to be noticed. It's the vanish that matters the most. And grim has the quietest vanish sound.

Grim Mariachi is the best if you wanna have any of the slightest advantage in the game. Grim's 1 is very quiet. While Infiltrator is the loudest.
