The Dark and Darker testing realm has finally released multi-classing for players who have bought the Founders Edition of the game can play. I decided to first test the Wizard/Cleric multi-class. Taking Smite and Perseverance from Cleric, ignite bonk wizard is taken to a whole new level. This is definitely broken and could break the game, but overall, VERY fun.

I went a crystal sword variant of this but with high dex/max hp, running protection from good and evil, ice shield, shadow touch/reflection (depending), poisoned weapon, for spells i took protection, bloodsoaked blade, divine weapon, ignite and invis. Hitting over 400s.

I wonder how perseverance works with Warlock's health cost for spells. Also, ignite + smite + BoC sounds busted. Maybe even add bloodstained blade.

In a weird way it feels balanced because every class has something OP about it. Kind of like how the early playtests were people only had a general idea of what worked. Of course once the tryhards find the most meta builds it will become everyone running two or three builds, but until then it's really fun!

Though smite on wizard seems fun, I actually really hope they make multiclassing for perks only and not abilities... When abilities are also shared then class identity just goes out the window. Which is also bad for gameplay because you will never know what you are fighting against

Bard and wiz gonna get left behind when multiclassing drops. Nobody wants to use their perks or skills unfortunately. Also this build looks great until you find a dark plate fighter with iron will and antimagic.

I don't know if I'd necessarily call it "imbalanced" the game is "imbalanced" in its current state. Right now it seems like you're being given the tools to even out the ground. Is there one build that just beats all the other ones? We have yet to discover that, but I wouldn't say in its current state that's it's just imbalanced.

tbh Multiclassing looks super fun! Every class has a chance to be "OP", excited to see stuff like Smite Multishot Survival Bow Ranger Spell Overload Cleric, 10 spell, half Cleric half Wizard I'm sure there are plenty of other crazy builds!

@@MrSSnoMAN so true. It really sucks, and I hope they make the matchmaking NOT gear based. A multi-classed character will almost always out rank a non-multiclassed character. So having only gear-based would screw over new players and players trying to level up.

I’d say tank this idea completely. It will ruin the awful state pvp is already in. There will be maybe 2 playable classes and it’ll be a meta. Ironmaces brain is awful
