thank you Tohka! i think the big hp changes are too drastic. ttk was really only an issue with hybrid tanks(i'll count assassins like clio in there)/some burst mages i don't think damage was this widespread issue, just characters that shouldn't being doing as much damage as they were for WAY too long. imo a warrior class wide and defensive item wide nerfing would be lovely, as well as minor reworks ala erlang on a few problem gods (something major needs to be done about gilga too at this point) I feel like this widespread health and defensive increase will only stagnate the issue that tanky damage dealers bring, while making burst damage dealers in the squishier classes like a good chunk of mages and assassins feel worse. and to me burst assassins have felt pretty lackluster for a while so i'm really worried about how it's gonna feel for people like pele, ne zha, susano, thor, etc. ofc these are just my intial impression upon reading, i haven't had the chance to try it out myself yet, since ive been busy with the next guide (WHICH IS OUT NOW BTW :D) i'm actually down for the changes in the sense that they'll slow the game down a bit especially when it comes to camp/wave clear, i always liked League of Legend's pacing more where the early game is A LOT slower. it just doesn't feel like these changes will aid any of the current issues in regards to the meta in SMITE, instead opting to wipe the slate clean and see if they can solve the issues that these new changes will present. i'm not a fan of that on paper but hey if it ends up working a feeling good, then great. the game def needs SOME sort of change.

My initial reaction to this comment is: uh. Guan was VERY bad in patch 11.5, and he is still not very good in 11.6, the patch which introduced lower TTKs to the game, improving MOST warriors' late game capabiltiies. Right now i think: Bluestone > Breasplate of Valor > Cadeceus Club > Magic defense item (usually Geniji's Guard) > Stone of Binding > Spirit Robe The build of course changes slightly when you are against a magical solo laner(a guardian usually) and you ALWAYS want Genji's first against them, it is the PERFECT item for the laning phase against a magical damaging opponent. Your build changes further by going something like a Gladiator's shield in place of where Genji's would be since Breastplate of Valor is no where near the powerhouse that it would be in the early game, since you're buying it later. I hope that made sense but you really need to be ready to shift you build dramatically depending on who you're against in the solo lane when playing conquest. For arena uhhhhhh theres lots of factors really. generally going defensive is the best idea since the gamemode is so fight focused and chances are you have gung ho squishy teammates on your side. so, Sentinels Gift > Gauntet of Thebes > Breastplate of Valor > genji's Guard (go pestilence against healers) > Caduceus Club > Spirit Robe So basically Guan is kinda bad but if you wanna play him focus on getting cooldown reduction as soon as possible with physical and magical protections (breastplate and genji's guard are the go to's) and put Caduceus club in as your 1 damage item somewhere if you can

@@waveribs8116 It terms of like, relentless button mashing, i'd say King Arthur, since they both use damage over time and movement abilities to chase down enemies Then for someone who's more support oriented i'd highly recommend Horus. Does everything Guan wants to do just more efficiently and with better supportive capabilities

@@waveribs8116 aw dude no worries i go bluestone > blackthorn hammer > glad shield > stone of binding > genji's guard > spirit robe against healers go Pestilence over Genji's guard, and of course if you're against a guardian in solo, swap glad shield with your magical defense item in the build i dont think i did a good job of explaining it in my King Arthur guide but your main goal once you get access to your ultimate is trying to use your orange ultimate on squishy targets You can 1v1 other warriors and squishies once you get your first item but once you hit like level 17+ the character falls off VERY hard and your job becomes using that orange ultimate on an important target, like an adc or midlaner

How do the builds shown here hold up now and what are some necessary items in the current patch?

Those builds actually aren't possible anymore with items being changed/removed/reworked. A decent current build is Bluestone - Breastplate of regrowth - Gladiator's Shield - Pridwen - Stone of Binding - Cadecus Club The last two items are 100% flexible, really with Guan just make sure you're hitting 40% CDR as fast as possible and it's a fine build lol. I know you like damage so if i had to go one damage item it's definitely Transcendence, it's VERY good on him. Still go defense first though of course.

Guans great into certain picks but awful against some, I remember In season 2 when hades was acc viable he was a hard counter. He probably still is but hades is just a badly designed character in his current state.

he still isn't great, but you can do a pretty absurd cooldown build that makes him one of the better lategame warriors Bluestone > Breastplate of Regrowth > Gladiator's Shield > Genji's Guard > Caduceus Club > Sphinx's Bauble
