Smith Guide`s Choice Review

this a review on my smith sunglasses with the chromapop glass brown lens i have had them for about 1 month. i have loved every time i get to take them out on the water or the streets the colors are very vibrant and sharp. i recommend any one trying them out if they have not got the chance to yet. they are amazing. i hope every one enjoys the brake down review of these sunglass and i hope it helps a few out to picking out the right glass for them like and subscribe.

After finally getting feed up with costa and their warranty I switched to maui jims with glass lens. Recently on a trip I picked up a pair of guides choice with the chromapop plus lens (which are trivex not poly! Big difference in scratch resistance and clarity) anyways needless to say I came home with them. Side note I looked through the smith glass both bronze and green mirror glass and the chromapop plus trivex lens out performed the glass. After getting them back I compared them to my other pairs of glasses. They are without a doubt as clear as the maui glass while weighing about a quarter of the weight. Glare reduction was indiscernible between the two beating out the pair of costas I had. These glasses are so impressive that out of the three people I showed, they all have went out and purchased a pair for themselves. Hopefully smith keeps it up because its about time that maui and costa was presented with some solid competition.

Hey Justin. the bronze in glass are 10% vlt and the bronze in chromapop+ are 14%. Did you notice any difference? I really need the sunglases for working and driving in the mountains on bright sunny days. Hope i can get your advice. Thanks

You can hold the glasses up to the camera lens to show the difference between regular and ChromaPOP, Polarized lenses.. Are these the Low Light lenses.. there are three grades of VLT.

i have smith chromapop ski goggle and I LOVE them. I have the Costa Reefton Pro.... ill try the guides choice and see what i like better. looking through my ski goggles and the costas. i like the chromapop

I bought a pair of Bajio Stiltsville grey tortoise frame with blue mirror lens and I see what you mean about the light coming through the transparent frame, very annoying, and I wish the lenses were a tad bit darker for less vlt. Returning them for the Smith Guides choice xl, and the Castaway, both with blue mirror lens. Will see which one I like the best and will return the other. I’ve had Costa Reefton for few years now and love them, just wanted to try a different brand

I ended up here because i got a deal through slickdeals for a pair of these for 48.00 bucks. I lost my wiley x's in the stream. Had issues with those and the coating peeling and nose pads melting, had em replaced a once with a warranty. Hope these are better.

your brown lens is not made of glass, but carbonate. and the reason costa got fog up, is because it is made of glass, better scratch resistant. Please do your homework before waste other people's time. Thank you! Smith Guides choice is better, but you miss the point here.

Incorrect. Chromapop lenses are glass. It even says it on the box "GLASS". Chromapop + are trivex which is nearly as good as glass with similar scratch resistance and will not shatter. His lens here chromapop, NOT PLUS. Chromapop polarized are in fact GLASS. Chromapop+ are trivex which again is NOT polycarbonate. Next time, Desmond, do YOUR research before slamming someone on not doing theirs because you are wrong.
