Nicely done, thank you. I see Smith Rock every morning and during the day. I never get tired of the view. I live just west of it. I watch the sun come up and many spectacular sunrises and equally spectacular sunsets over the Cascades. I never had a desire to climb the mountains.

I work for the Ore. State Parks when I left the military. I waded the river tied a cable to a big rock, and used a come along to pull the main beams of the foot bridge across the river We made that bridge by hand. I got tired of hauling cement by hand to the river and drove my truck down to it. I broke the axle and we had a heck of a time getting it out. There were not any trails at that time, and the rock was not all damaged then. It was rugged and wild, and it's been tamed and ruined. Also parts of the movie True Grit were filmed there. The one with John Wayne. The rock was wonderful back then, it no longer is.....
to the experts out there what kind of camera should i get that is gonna give lots of pixels or some of the quality of this video WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK :) beautiful video thank you for posting...

Since Smith Rock formed about 30 million years ago, I wonder if any early forms of human evolution witnessed its formation?

It looks like a beautiful area, what little I saw of it. I came hoping to see more of the park but saw mostly rock climbers. I'm not a rock climber, more of a hiker, so I was hoping to see more trail. It's beautiful photography, though. I just wish there was more park and less climbing. Nice ambient music. I didn't give it a thumbs down, though. Sorry to be such a crank.
