Brandon Smith of Smith Transport, based in Raleigh, North Carolina came up to Raphine, Virginia for the 2018 Super Rigs truck show. He shares his reasons for building his 1996 Pete, his trucking history, and what it takes to run in his field.
He is running a 1996 Peterbilt EXHD / 550 Caterpillar / 13 speed / 3.55 rears / 2018 MAC tri-axle frame dump trailer.

Drive a 2018 KW stone shooter in eastern part of NC. Do nothing but quarry trips all day every day, all week and month after month. There's a company out here called Trexler and them boys have nothing but Peterbilts and though Im sure theyre all factory stock, them trucks look super good. Better than my 2018. Extended hood Peterbilts are quite a show on the road.

At 19:20 he’s correct as hell. We have similar trailers hauling “stuff” in and out of the rendering plant I work at. Luckily for me I’m in the tanker division and I only have to deal with grease traps.
