We had our youngest son go astray, but like Bishop said, we didn't lower the bar. I am a Pastor and Have been for over 30 years, our youngest son went out there in the world, but we kept the bar the same, we kept it where it's always been. Our son made his way back to God and to the ways we raised him, and in a few months from now he'll be in law school, he already works as a paralegal.

Though when I realized that the world was nothing but evil and worthless, I rededicated my life to Christ with sorrowful repentance and have never looked back. So yes! ​@@whatshatnin4572God dealt with me while raising my 3. There were certain shows and music that I couldn't watch or listen to as the Spirit of God began to convict me. Every song carries a spirit - whether the Holy Spirit or those spirits with them holes in it, and every thing we watch on television, technology are open doors into our houses, lives that trickle down to our children. I didn't get cable until my children were in 7-8th grade and I placed restrictions on what they could watch which you could set on YT as well. Their Bible had colorful pictures that captured their attention and they saw me read my Bible, but today they have YT shows like Judah Sketch for our children which is cool and Superbook to watch. I learned that our children watch what we do and do it, not what we say. Allow and ask the Spirit of God to help you while raising your children and He will give you wisdom in all areas. Christianity was white supremacy and I despised it. Until I started studying the Bible to really exposed the religion as white. The opposite happened. I am not a fan of Bishop Wooden, but I know the truth when I hear it. He is 100% correct here. Christian parents should never lower their standards or change their beleifs because their children choose lifestyles outside of the word of God. You will lose all credibility as a parent when you do that - and you will not win them back to Christ. I hope now that he and his son can heal their relationship because it is well-known that broken relationships with the father are one of the primary contributing factors to homosexuality. Maybe now Bishop will spend less time focusing on others, and more time discipilng his son.

Pastor Wooden is very effective in his position. His son is a grown man, making his own choices. I couldn’t think of one reason why it would be necessary for the pastor to step down from his calling because of decisions that his son is making for his own personal life. If his calling is to Pastor the church, that has nothing to do with his grown son’s lifestyle. Just like Bishop Sheard did not step down when his son decided to live his life the way he wanted. What God has for you is for you, nothing to do with your relatives outside your home. Everyone must make their own decision to surrender to God. God gives us all a choice. If my child chooses not to be obedient to Gods word, so be it. But, the Pastor must remain obedient and do as God called him. ❤️
