You know her lobes are stretched to the fullest. We used to call the big earrings DOORKNOCKER EARRINGS !! Blast from the past.
@thekingsdaughter42335 жыл бұрын
Some big(er) earrings are fitted with earwires, so the weight isn't all carried by the lobes. I have seen that on royal jewelry; both museum pieces and those still in use.

The coral flower-like piece in the Gone with the Wind collection was worn by Vivien Leigh in the Twelve oaks bar-b-que scene. It’s a multi strand necklace with coral beads and she wore this with the green sprigged Muslin dress .

There is a place in Rhode Island called Wolfe E. Myro that you can purchase all sorts of elements to make your own jewerly. They wholesale to the industry, but it is open to the public. If you have a tax ID number you can purchase directly from them. Their building looks just like the back room of Joseff of Hollywood :)

There's a place in NYC called CJS Sales that a lot of people in the industry go to get vintage findings and jewelry parts. It's not open to the public, but if you have a sales tax ID number, you can make an appointment. It's run by a father and daughter team. The father used to design and sell his own jewelry years ago.

Wow. This is the epitome of shallow nonsense. It's one thing to learn about this history of parts of cinema, but the useless oh-my-god gag-me-with-a-spoon valley girl "let's pretend we make art" BS is sickening.
@Acc0rd7910 жыл бұрын
producers don't care about history anymore, look at the history channel. They cut down trees and kill alligators, how is that even history?? Ratings is all they want, sure they get their mindless dopes to watch but they are loosing their core "history" viewers left and right. Reality tv has ruined TV as we knew it, I don't even turn mine on anymore, just come to youtube or Netflix for good shows or movies.
@katherinegaughan458 жыл бұрын
+Acc0rd79 Amen! History station is terrible now.
@spiraluzu9697 жыл бұрын
But fashion and jewelry history is history. If you find it shallow doesn't mean that it actually is. And yes fashion IS art, the amount of craft, love and effort put into each of those pieces is insane. The ladies in the video never pretended to make art, they are making a living and a thriving business out of something they love. You can see their passion. The fact that you are spitting on people who are so incredibly passionate about something that YOU personally don`t care about just really shows how shallow and close-minded you are. Remember that acting superior doesn`t mean that you are.
