If I could refund all of my marketplace packs I would have like 30k Minecoins 💀 If Minecraft is seeing this just allow MC Addons manager back or collaborate with Forge. Just to add on to that they waited WAYYYY to long to introduce addons, the fact we can’t even BUY what we want is crazy. They allow laser blasters rhat VAPORIZE people but not NORMAL GUNS. Minecraft is a money grab at this point.

I really do appreciate everything you do for us. In my opinion, the marketplace is just terrible. It needs a whole revamp. They need to close it down and then reopen it with a brand, new UI and a new system that better moderates all of the content being posted to their and also allowing you to at least try the product out for at least a day or two.

I totally agree. I never buy things from the marketplace, what I've seen, the marketplace is definitely targeted towards a younger audience and usually people don't know what they are buying most of the time. I've only seen 1 or 2 actually fun things I would get from the marketplace that I trust.

IMO the marketplace is driving bedrock addon creation, because Mojang are making such a powerful addon system simply for the marketplace, and that makes it easier for non-marketplace creators (such as those on MCPEDL) to create high-quality addons.

The marketplace has you thinking too much about what the add-on offers because it involves money and it’s almost impossible to get a refund for if it comes out what you didn’t expect which is a risk.

Honestly the marketplace being almost the only way to get addons now on console is a big injustice to console players since most of the other platforms have the option to get regular addons from mcpedl . Instead of removing mcpedl from us fearing that nobody would actually buy their stupid disgusting marketplace addons , why not make the marketplace addons so high quality that it would justify them being so damn expensive for the amount of content they add ? Mojang made a big mistake and they know they did , they just don't care because why would they ? It brings them money and a lot of it at that , customer satisfaction is secondary i guess .

Hey smitty great video, and agree with you,in saying that I have brought afew addons from the store I'm a creative player on xbox I afto to say the ones I got are actually really good and worth the money. Addons do have a separate tab in the marketplace and pretty much all of them you can add to your existing worlds. I like alot of others rely on content creators like yourself that do reviews on addons here on KZbin I normally watch Eckosolider his reviews are on point,but yes some are kack and some get copyrighted and taken down. I miss the good ol days of free addons but I've lost so many worlds I can't be arsed with the reinstall method anymore its so hard as you know to get them on console

I play on xbox and the only thing i bought is actions and stuff which im the opinion of a LOT of people is one of the only ones who are actually worth the money, and marketplace also help with people making money out of ages of work, tho Marketplace should be improved A LOT and they should let xbox players download add-ons by extern ways

The biggest problem is that we dont have any guarantee that the pack or mod we purchased stays lifelong.. I mean suppose if the developer of a add-on stops the support or the mod geys removed them we dont get any compensation or our minecoins back.

I always check videos made by Erose, Ecksoldier or Bedrock Princess before buying an addon. And even more concerning, you did not even realize that the first result you found was NOT an addon ! Only the ones with "add on" on the thumbnail are actually addons, others can be worlds, resource packs, etc. So there is definitely a problem in the Marketplace, showing such irrelevant results when you type "addon" in the search bar. This leads to confusion and people might buy stuff that actually does not meet their expectations. Another issue is the translation. In French, they translated "mob menagerie" into "ménagerie de la mafia". They literally translated "mob" into "mafia". And you don't need to know French to understand that this is problematic, especially in a game played by kids.

The Marketplace Mojang devs are insanely incompetent, people can't even play multiplayer with marketplace content. There's an issue that's been plaguing Minecraft for almost a year where you can't download large packs when joining multiplayer worlds, and on console it's worse because on top of it not downloading, the packs don't properly save to the cache folder. Thus, using marketplace content soft-locks your world from multiplayer if it's too high in pack size. There are ways to make it work, by creating another fresh world and applying the addons 1 by 1 and inviting the console players, leaving and rejoining. (This takes an unreasonable amount of time) Then sometimes it'll give an error message saying that the host was disconnected which is a false positive. You have to leave the world and toggle "Download Required Packs" for it to unglitch. What have we learned from this? *The marketplace and console in general is in an absolutely baffling state.*

I asked a Marketplace partner, Oreville Studios to be specific. They acknowledged the issue and sent it to Mojang. (I asked a Partner since they have higher priority I think?) Yeah this game is so undermanaged and theres little to no quality assurance. We really need someone to speak out about Bedrock's horrendous issues like this. I feel if people give more of a voice, we can get this problem possibly addressed. One thing I talked about briefly but didn't explain is that console players have to download packs every single time, even if they already have previously. Thats why this issue is game breaking on console. The download speeds are also so slow for no reason for everyone. (Doesnt matter about internet connection)

Addons are unplayable with friends it won’t let my Xbox or my friend download any of them when they join my ps5 world it freezes at a random spot and then has an error. This is the same with texture packs and mashups

Most addons on marketplace are bugged. Dont work & Xbox series S can only handle upto 40MG before crashing. Paying for broken half done mods is crazy.

As a non marketplace map creator and new addon creator, i feel that the market place is pretty eh. So. A couple things to point out From what I've heard from various different people who actually are on the marketplace with their content, to be able to use the marketplace takes literally months before you might get an approval, and any of your content takes literally months before it MIGHT get approved. From what I've heard although (it's a bit more of a mixture) is that creators also don't have a choice on how much their mod or map is going to cost. It's all done by the moderation team who approves this. There's also a lot of clickbait, and a lot of creators that seem to just reuse assets from other maps and add-ons without having any issue even if they're claiming they're all original. A lot of the mod creators also steal things from third-party creators. You can't get a refund for things that are atrocious or obscenely broken. Like a siren head map that I took the risk of purchasing because it actually looks like to make a decent video. Only for it to turn out that map is absolutely awful and broken as hell. And I think it cost like five bucks. Most of the marketplace is full of maps that are remakes of the same or rip-offs of things that are already been created by third party. Another thing I've noticed from the creators is the lack of freedom they have with things. They can't create something based on like five nights at Freddy's because it's not "not original enough" But then there's a map that's called like scary robots or something that's literally a fnaf rip-off, and somehow that's more original. Something I've always also greatly disliked about the marketplace is that if you have a world that's I don't know using an add-on or world that you got for free and then the add-on or map suddenly gets charged you can't access that world even though you've already been playing on it because you got it for free.

I agree with point 1 and 3, but point 2 I don't really agree with. You can already separate things via categories when searching to prevent that. Also you made it appear as if the only indicator you have is in the picture, when in reality, that isn't true. Next to the names of whatever it is it specifically has a symbol related to what it is. A globe is a world, paintbrush is texture, hammer is add-on and so on. The marketplace also directly tells you what these mean via being able to choose different categories via a filter. 1 and 3 make complete sense but it kinda feels like you are just blatantly ignoring the information marketplace already gives you for 2 a bit

I was tired and moody af this morning so I'm not 100% sure i accurately worded what i was saying lmao and overlooked some things lmao I think the organization itself with the symbols are fine personally. But you are 100% right in the fact they need to be better explained. My former argument about the categories filter doesn't work if someone doesn't use that filter and just goes straight into the shop. A new person probably wouldn't know what "globe" or "paintbrush" means so even if i think the system of categorizing it is fine, they need to do a better job at explaining that system.

Make sure you have the texture pack applied with the mod. If everything is still purple, I think it’s an issue with the pack the add-on creator will have to fix it.
