Hey Nate, The question you have about what a steam deck is is: think of it as a Nintendo switch, but you could play PC games; however, you could play games from Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox, but the process is complicated to do so, as well as some PC games that aren't available to play on the steam deck. But the steam deck is such a good device since you could treat it as a PC and a switch since it functions similar to the both of them also if you're wondering how much it cost it ranges from 400 to $600 since there are different versions of the steam deck but the only major change is the storage with the little things that goes with it but I highly recommend getting the expensive one if you're planning to play many games or games that require more storage on there however if you're going to play a few games that require little storage I recommend the cheap version and if you want to play a big game with a couple of small games I recommend getting the one that meets the middle which leads me to telling you that if you run out of storage on your steam deck you could simply pop in a SD card in there with to gain extra storage but that's not the only way to gsin more storage but it's kind of complex so I would just pop in a SD card since it's the most simple way of gaining storage also since I've own a steam deck my self I really recommend it since it allows you to play games that you won't normally play on your phone and the switch for which can also be use as a PC as a plus so it's really good device of what it is so if you're wondering where to get one you can get it from the steam webpage but if you want a direct like here it is -> Steam Deck™ store.steampowered.com/steamdeck/ I hope the information I gave you about the steam deck might interest you in getting one since it really is worth it.
