*Smoke Coming from Main Gear!* British Airways 787-8 (B788) departing from Montréal-Trudeau (YUL)

After suffering a 12 hour delay in Montreal, British Airways flight 94 was ready to go back home when Montreal Tower noticed a lot of smoke coming from its number 2 engine/ main landing gear causing the emergency vehicles to come out to inspect the area. As well as causing the aircraft to shut both engines down. The aircraft then departed without any further incident.

I added this to my favourites list. Right place at the right time! But I guess Speedbird never departs in daylight at YUL, so that was rare in itself. Also I'm unfamiliar with your filming location; at the threshold of 06R?? Thumbs up :D

The video does not show any aircraft maintenance personnel looking at the aircraft. 787 has electric brake technology. Possible dragging brake??? Just thought it was very strange that it appears no maintenance personnel checked and released the flight to continue.... What did I miss....?

Agree with Pete B below comment /observation ,so the FD can now certify airplane is airworthy without calling maintenance to check the brake? The way that was handled defies everything I learned working on planes!
