Unlike other portable smoke machines that run on battery power, the Smoke Ninja has extra safety features that prevent it from ever over heating, sparking flames, or spitting out hot smoke. It also produces consistent smoke that never varies in thickness, color, or odor. This makes the Smoke Ninja perfect for smaller video productions and photoshoot where photographers want to simply add a little atmospheric smoke to their portraits and product shots.

Looks like it uses either 18650 or 20700 or 21700 sized battery which are stupidly common to source(thanks to torches, and ebikes). Though compared to alkaline cells there are a lot of knockoffs and dangerous cells on market so sourcing high current cells from reliable source is important.

Great video, Looks like a great product! But, as someone that travels a fair bit, would be great to find out the best way to get this on a plane. I suspect battery would need removing, probably need to empty and clean out the liquid reservoir? if so how, would it also need to be checked in? Can new heating chambers be purchased? if it burns out? or would you need to buy a whole new unit? Any recommendations on liquids that would be best to use it with?
@pmi_gear10 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks for the question! Actually we designed the smokeNINJA specifically for it to be travel friendly! The rechargable battery is actually required by authorities to be in your carryon luggage, not check in! Our liquid is also packaged to be 100ml which is perfect size for carryon. When we travel for trade shows we would remove the battery from the machine and the whole kit stays in our carry on luggage! Hope this helps :) About our heating coil, we have built the entire heating chamber into one fast-swappable consumable, but it will take quite a while to use it up; our chamber features a patent design that makes it last 100 hours of total output before needing a replacement, which is the longest lifespan in the industry. When it reaches the end of its lifecycle, simply unscrew it and replace another one!

G'day Patrick, Just got mine and it will be a lot of fun. My question to you is, Can I make my own liquids for this unit ? I am in Australia and ordering it would be very expensive. Do you have a formula to make your own liquid or do you know of an alternative that I could look at? Thanks mate.
@chokechange8 ай бұрын
Does it have to used upright or can it be used horizontally?
@FStoppers7 ай бұрын
It can be used shortly in a different orientation but they recommend it being vertical so the liquid saturates the filament correctly. That said, it's super easy to just use the adapters to position the smoke to come out downward or sideways. -P
@redboyincog802610 ай бұрын
How do they even make 3 different types of smoke with the same machine? That is amazing
@FStoppers10 ай бұрын
It's based on fan speed and filament heating temp. -P

I have the Vosentech 4 and I cannot recommend that you buy it. Perhaps the 5 is better, but I’ve wasted a lot of time with the 4, and so I ordered the Ninja last week. The 3D printed case on the 4 is ok, but for the price I think it’s appropriate to expect an injection molded case. The V4 leaks like crazy so there’s a lot of wasted “juice”. Also, the after purchase support for Vosentech is not great and borderline hostile - after purchase you’re pretty much on your own even if the product seems to be at fault. If you accidentally forget to turn off the Vosentech, you can kill the battery to the point where it must be replaced, and unlike the Ninja, the battery is not replaceable - you’ll have to take the whole unit apart which may void your warranty. Anyway, I’m hoping all of my concerns and issues are resolved with the Ninja. Side note, the liquid can become oxidized, the word you were seeking. If it oxidizes, it can become ineffective and eventually unusable. It will turn yellow and brown eventually.

@FStoppers4 ай бұрын
I'd reach out to PMI. The main things that can affect this are 1) battery charge, 2) is the coil saturated, and 3) is the reservoir screwed on tightly. Sometimes I find #3 to be the main culprit for me. There are probably other things to check too so I'd reach out to them. -P

It's too funny how it's essentially a slightly modded vape marketed at photographers. I was gonna joke I could invite a few people who vape to be on set. Then when I saw the product photos on B&H I literally screamed lol. Don't get me wrong, it's cool and I'd probably still get it to replace using haze in a can. But seeing the tank is just covered and allows for a tube attachment cracks me up 😂 Might make people think twice about vaping now
@FStoppers10 ай бұрын
How easily can a powerful vape pen haze up a whole room? I needed two units to do it but I’d image a vape pen can only run for a 10-20 seconds max right? -P
@TheJoshShephard10 ай бұрын
@@FStoppers depends on the size of the room, and time wise you're likely correct. It's been quite awhile since I've been around people who heavily vaped. But people who were seriously into vaping and mods would often blow crazy large clouds. Legit not something I'd use for a set though lol, but it definitely made me think how similar these are. When it comes to this, I'm just curious about the solution used. Does it smell like anything? Whats it made of, etc. Great upside though is the versatility of the modes. Which seems great for smaller projects
