@@AwesomeBRINKS the train was ok thanks. I’d say I’ve had the most success with smoke in KL this season of the three characters I’m into right now. All thanks to you haha 😝 I’m on ps5 of you wanna teach me how to suck less. Is scorpion your favourite kameo for smoke and who else do you play as ?

And actually, i exclusively use Sektor kameo with Smoke. I had to learn Scorpion from scratch to make this video lol Otherwise I play Havik/Mavado, Ermac/Cyrax, and im learning Noob/Cyrax which i just finished my massive script for a guide video on lol. Who are the other 2 characters you play?

Hey Brinks, great video as always! Scorpion has always been a solid choice for Smoke, and though he may be a bit overshadowed by Ferra in the current meta, he's still a reliable Kameo that gives you pretty amazing damage and, most importantly, something to discourage opponents to poke your cancels thanks to the Vicious Vapors combos. It's still risky, of course, but just having the threat of a 40-50% combo if they poke at the wrong time really helps (the ability to combo of a missed cancel is also great for bad players like me 😎) I really need to try that anti-Tanya tech, it's a pretty hard matchup and I've been seeing a lot of Tanyas in Kombat League. Solid stuff 👍 I remember seeing JustNasty use the Up-Flame ambush to get extra damage from a back throw, but this was a long time ago, don't know if it still works or if it's even reliable enough to be worth spending Kameo meter (#BuffSmoke idea: make Smoke yeet the opponent slightly further when doing a back throw) The timing tips you added for calling the ambush extender are super helpful, wish I had something like that on the early months after the game launched 😔 (I really struggled getting the timing right for the Viscous Vapors extension) The main disadvantages I see with Scorpion compared to other Smoke kameos is less neutral utility compared to Sonya/Khameleon/Sektor and that his invisibility combo setups are kind of execution heavy. Then again, with Scorpion you'd probably want to save the meter to cash out on the damage and rely on Smoke's kameoless setups to open people up, specially in the corner where they are more effective. BTW, have you tried the changes Sektor got in the last patch? There's definitely some interesting stuff to explore there. The missile now works better as a combo extender due to the ground bounce it causes when it hits airborne opponents, giving them quite decent damage that you had to sacrifice before when you picked that team. It also allows you to combo off Vicious Vapors, through the timing is somewhat strict. Homing missile gives you a throw combo and also the ability to combo from the armored DB2, which is also neat. A smaller video showcasing some of this stuff could be a good idea 🤔 PD: That Kameo Sub-Zero parry shown in the Cyrax gameplay trailer looks rather interesting. I wonder if it could be used as a safer way to counter people poking Smoke's cancels, or maybe even to cover gaps 🤔 (I used to do that with Skarlet in MK11, who had a similar issue). Not sure if it would counter armors, but if it does, that may be a game changer for Smoke. Take care 👍

This about Sektor. I 100% think Sektor is Smoke's best kameo after the most recent patch. I also think the missile comes out a few frames faster too, which might change a few things? (Not sure on that). The ability to cancel flamethrower on block is pretty cool too, maybe just to throw off the opponent though. Like you said, love the homing missile on throw, just sucks it costs two kameo bars. I also wish there was more use out of his teleport punch but still has its few uses. Not perfect of course, but still think Sektor is him right now for sure.

bonus tech : scorpion kills sento with fireballs while you block(sento must be on the same side as kenshi) scorpion can be called to eat lao hat and prevent hard to blockables scorpion can be called to eat subzero ice clones and give full punish for more optimal combos off of 212 and b23, don't use the side switch like letting 212 do the fourth hit or doing b324, instead, cancel into bf3 and use fireballs there

It will always be super awesome to me. Smoke Ferra definitely seems pretty good. The full bar is expensive but you get to do some insane damage off of it so it kinda is understandable lol

@@yeyo6521Sorry for the late reply, but i think Sonya is very viable for Smoke rn. One of his better kameos. I still think Sektor has everything i need or want, but Sonya gives you a great projectile, which seriously helps Smoke's neutral, as well as can lead to invis setups, the leg grab gives a little "mix", and the new divekick gives mindgames from F4 and huge damage extensions which is really cool.
