I have been a Stewart fan for years and proud of him . Many would have given up after all he has been thru ! I have met him 4 times now as I am from Ontario Canada . I like that he doesn't take crap from anyone and stands his ground . I have seen him 3 years in a row now in his Sprint car . I like the way Tony drives and takes care of his fans at the end of the night . I appreciate a Driver that gives back . I retired due to a massive stroke 4 years ago at age 56 , every year I can make it to see him race is a bonus to a 39 year weekly stock car track attending fan since 1980 .

Since he came into NASCAR, he became my most favorite driver. Bobby Labonte was my favorite before him, but when I saw Smoke turn Jeff Gordon in the pits at Bristol, I was hooked...been a fan since and always will be! A true racer, champion, and bad ass! If there is one thing on a "bucket list" I wish I could do, is meet him in person. Even if it's just for a few minutes.
@chevyblock5508 жыл бұрын
He might have been a hot head. He might have been stubborn. But if there's one thing no one can disagree with was that his driving style shined in the shadow of that of Dale Earnhardt's. Hard, aggressive, no mercy driving. He will be missed and remembered as one of the last grass roots style racers.

Sean Pinder well said. My favorite driver. One of the last of the older guys. Raced hard, and had the respect on the track. If ya did him wrong he put you in the wall, but if you raced him hard and clean he wouldn't. Hopefully some of the new drivers paid attention to what he said to them.

Harv is such a good fit for SHR, SHR period is a legit squad. As a Gordon fan & a Rowdy fan, I’ll be the first to tell you that raceday sure isn’t the same without Smoke rustling someones feathers. After all it is drivers like Smoke & Boy Wonder that we have the talent we do today. They sure have set the bar of expectations for today’s crop of drivers.

No doubt that Stewart was the most talented driver in the post-Earnhardt era. He won in everything he ever raced in. I wasn't particularly a fan of his as a driver because I thought he always had a problem when it came to taking it from other drivers. Say what you will about Earnhardt but he took as well as he gave on the race track. Interestingly enough, the most talented driver since Tony retired is one of his own drivers, and that's Kevin Harvick.
