I was packing the darker shades on first like that for a long time n couldn't figure out why it wasn't turning out the way I thought it should. Then I heard u mention a few times in previous videos to build up the colors. I was thrilled at how well my shadows came out. I'm not a new-new newbie at make up, but I am new to a lot of the techniques that are used nowadays lol. Hafta keep reminding myself this is not the early 80s 🤣 . Building up works best for me, I'm glad I found n pd attn to ur tutorials 😊.

I love how it turned out. Such a stunning grungy look! With Huda I have to go light to dark. There are some indie brands I can do dark to light, but mostly light to dark. Very nice!

Absolutely stunning! Method wise, I agree, light to dark is more beginner friendly. That said, dark to light can be easily done but it doesn’t work by blending initially, it needs to be a packing motion and then dabbling it will blend it. But adding smaller amounts in layers. Then adding the lighter colours in very thin layers to blend by dabbing before back and forth motion. Going lighter to darker you can add much more pigment to the lid etc and blend it, but it won’t work as easily doing that the other way around. Xx

Can u do a halo tutorial without shadow on the bottom lash pls? Or show what it looks like before you add bottom shadow. Everytime i try shadow on the bottom i mess it up and look crazy, but id love to see what a full glam halo eye looks like on you before the bottom shadow :)

A full glam halo eye may look a little crazy with nothing on the lower lash line 😝 Adding something on the lower lash line helps balance out the look. Maybe try a reallllyyy small brush with a bit of bronzer for some definition

Applying the dark shade first is something that the P Louise Makeup Academy teaches because it informs the shape of your look. Mikayla is big into P Louise, and a TON of the newer makeup influencers on TikTok and Instagram came from their program. I've tried it too and it doesn't work for everyone, especially if you're not going for the same level of high drama art that P Louise tends to do.

What a great look - you look GORGEOUS. Like true model stunning. (Hmmm I've never said that about you before...ok, so not in the last 20 minutes at least.) This is flippin' beautiful on you! I dont think that Gxve or however she spells it is nearly as pigmented as the Haus Labs pencil. That pencil can get out of control so quickly! Especially if youre putting it in the waterline. (Ask me how I know...or don't.) The look turned out incredibly well anyway. I'm glad you refilmed it! And if I'm being totally honest, it's nice to.hear you struggle sometimes, too.
