PP was the truth before KG/ALLen. Young fan who post on blogs that say "He wasn't good before"? Are insanely WRONG. PP got no love from fans outside of new england just because his game wasn't "attractive" like AI, carmelo, kobe, wade, etc. Anyone inside the NBA knows just how rare PP is. His ability to play at such a high level at his age is still mind blowing. He does not run fast like other players (which leads to bad shots) he's always in control, and he is probably the most competitive player in the league. No one else plays against Lebron and believes they can BEAT him, no one. Its not always about the team it's about competing, and Pierce has been doing it for 16 years consistently with bad teams and good team. Now he just has a team that's playoff ready - something he is taking advantage of like many great players have done before him. Sure the heat are 2 time champs..But never count out Pierce and the Nets (they play defense better then any other team in the league). Last time I checked Pierce has been dominating the game against the heat for the past 3 years.

Damn, that right there is the TRUTH... I personally am pulling all the way for pierce and the nets vs the heat this year, Paul has ALWAYS stood up to lebron James, never afraid to flat out just get in his way. Pauls 41 on lebron and the cavs in 08 was legend! I don't really know how the guy does it, he is not athletic by NBA's standards. Hes not super buff, he's not really fasts. But his 3 pointer is DEADLY, staueesque as it is. His pump fake is picture perfect, and he drives reall hard to the basket all the time. A real lovable player, for all the youngness out there, if you hate pierce, think of how much heart the guy has... Was stabbed 11 times, and came back just a few weeks later. HOF
