@trevapowell769914 күн бұрын
What did you put on your deer bacon for seasoning? I know when you were cooking pork belly use brown sugar and salt. I think I only use Redmond salt. I think that’s what you did and then you put it in the icebox and turned it over for seven days, then you brought it out you washed it. You hooked it up on the kitchen cabinet knobs to dry and then you took it back and slice the bacon I have a Traeger smoking crew. I have done the pork belly 4 pound pork belly and I use your recipe. Please show us how you season the deer that looks so good. I could smell it way over here in Biloxi Mississippi. Oh well I can dream Kano. I wish we could really smell it cooking. Wouldn’t that be great!!
@pecangrovems10 күн бұрын
I used the same mixture as my pork bacon. Only use kosher salt don't use mineral salt.

On our little smoker wehave in the garage, the inside is lined in stainless steel. Could you do that to your smoker or is it just a different type? A useless fact: you can make bacon out of banana peels! Saw a Utube video on it.

@pecangrove new canner here. I want to can some discount hams I got and I have a electric nesco canner would you recommend this as safe? I plan 90 min in qrt jars w a ham broth for covering
@MsLippy17 күн бұрын
Just a helpful suggestion, any electric pressure cooker isn’t considered a safe option for canning. It may say it’s safe; but the USDA says it will not hold the pressure per lbs according to your altitude. Please only use a pressure canner - stove top or a stamped Electric Pressure Canner. 🌷
@arknanny254717 күн бұрын
@@MsLippy poor wording on my part it is a pressure canner I have the same one Ms Wanda and Rose Red have
@jenniferr205716 күн бұрын
@@arknanny2547 I use mine with great success. The whole world can't without pressure canners and without the USDA rules. I am a very experienced canner, I have 7 canners and I night that canner on Rose red's recommendation.
