This video is basically a short story of what smoking feels like. It’s seems awesome and feels awesome when you start, but as years pass by you cannot live without it. You feel worse and worse as you strive more and more to find more and more packs of cigarettes.

This is another one of those Kurzgesagt videos that I got very surprised by when I saw the thumbnail and title of at first! It was very uncharacteristic of them to PRAISE Smoking and I thought I must've been missing something. Did scientists find some secret benefit to smoking that we didn't know before? Did Kurzgesagt get taken over by a bunch of smokers who wanted to promote it even more? Was Kurzgesagt actually just trying to compensate from their crippling smoking addiction? Though I'm glad to say it wasn't any of that! While I'm not a smoker myself, I don't think they were trying to be sarcastic in their intro, thumbnail or title. Like with their videos regarding meat production, they want to consider "both sides" and give an "honest" look at both of them. Like, imagine you were a vegan watching those Meat Videos, you'd probably disagree with the whole "Meat tastes amazing" thing but approve of the overall message of "Meat production is both immoral and harmful to the environment". Meanwhile here, a Smoker may agree that Smoking "feels awesome" (atleast for the first few times) and thus, attract all the smokers to this video before sneak attacking them with all the bad side effects! *Twas all a Trap! >:D* And I've gotta say, they sure did a good job on that part! As I've said, I'm no smoker and yet _I_ was already feeling stressed and panicky about all these serious health problems! Atleast it's good to know that you CAN save yourself a lot of trouble by quitting smoking! (Vaping while being much 'healthier' still isn't very great for you. But hey, baby steps!) AND that overall, the industry seems to be on a decline as more and more people either quit or just... never start. 10:43 At this point everything has ads in it! I mean, this Kurzgesagt video itself has TWO ads embedded into it! (The Sponsorship and Merch plug) Of course they're a lot more enjoyable and promote typically high quality products/ services but if you want to be a purist about it, they ARE still ads! Overall, another great PSA style video from Kurzgesagt! Attracting in all the smokers with a title that SOUNDS positive, only to hit them with the nasty health problems straight after! I'd love to know how many people quit smoking/ chose to NOT smoke after watching this video... Or how many people STARTED smoking after only looking at the positive title and intro...
