I just discovered your channel 3 or 4 months ago and I'm really enjoying it. You guys are so cute together and I absolutely love these gorgeous drives you take us on. I was born and lived in East Tennessee for 50 years but now live in SW Virginia and we don't get back home very much. I miss it SO MUCH. That's why I'm SO HAPPY to have found your channel. You're taking me places that I can't go to most of the time. I take 3 or 4 hours every few days and watch only Yankee in the South videos. It's been very helpful in this time of having to stay home so much. Thank you both SO MUCH for these wonderful videos from HOME!

I came with a camper and no reservations. I asked a person on the street. They said go up 321 past the school and Food City, cross a bridge and I'd see a sign, and to turn left. An old devout Christian couple welcomed me and I spent 8 days. The name, I believe was McDougle. They have since passed. Late 90's and $12/night. I drove all over Pittman and I fell in love with the Smokies. People need to get there and explore. Beautiful area.👍

About 5 years ago we had a family reunion in Gatlinburg and hired a local photographer(Rich blessings photography) to do a family picture and she took us to Emertts Cove covered bridge for the shoot. We have a picture of all of the men in the family standing in front of that Chevy truck in the barn that turned out really cool. The truck was parked right to the edge of the barn back then without any barricade. Such a pretty area. Loved you vlog - brought back memories. Thanks so much for sharing.

Several years back, just after thy released the Elk into the park, the wife and took a little drive to the southern side of the park to see if we could see the Elk. However... we took a little side road, we were in a mustang and the road was like the one you show here. We ended up at a gigantic whole just before a semi submerged bridge. Now it was very evident that someone didn’t want us to go over that bridge... the problem though was trying to get turned around to get the hell out of there... lol, lol 😂

17:22 Been there done that, unless you like to see junk at NYC prices it’s no big deal. They had a 20# anvil that I tried to buy, I do metal work on commissions, and the damned thing needed a lot of work... they wanted $20.00 a pound. Now the normal price for any anvil is $1.00 a lb. All because of the damned yuppies from up north who want them to put in their flower gardens, or just on the edge of their lawns. I showed them pictures my forge and me working in it but they still said that was their price.
