This is the Lego version of a "torque amplifier" circuit in an agricultural tractor.

Dude, you are using mechanichs in legos! Good job!!!🎉

You can use a torque sensing diff to change gears in a gearbox

Im wondering if you could put multiple of these in a row to create a reallly fast output

Technically yes, but I think there are easier ways to do that :)

I Made a similar one but with a Fraction pin connected to the Gear to the Differential.
@in1 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, that would definitely also be an idea. The difference to use a rubber band is that it can't slip longer than the rubber band needs to have the maximum stretch...

pretty nice if you don't have a clutch gear 😊
@danielfearn6076 Жыл бұрын
This is different from just putting a clutch gear in, since this eventually transfers all the torque of the motor to the wheels.

Very useful for big cars with small motors

So I tried my hand at making a Lego car but I didn’t have a differential piece (PART 6573 Technic Gear Differential, 24 -16 Teeth.) (or a Part 6285647 Gear differential housing).(Or a Technic turntable) I eventually completed it but I had to superglue some open gears to a weird piece. Is there any other way to make a homemade differential without glueing? {I ended up gluing a Part 4558690 20 tooth bevel with pin hole attached to a Part 48496.}
@in1 Жыл бұрын
If you happen to have some kind of round technic part with a hole in the center (such as 60208), you can try building a differential with a belt. Maybe plate gears or something like that could also work. Maybe look through the differentials in this video, some of them work without turntables: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oma8qZp9hrZ4itk

How can i buy this kind of parts, i want to start lego “engineering 😅” but i have no idea where can i find this kind of parts can u help? Cool video btw
@in1 Жыл бұрын
If you just want that kind of part the best idea might be to just buy Lego Technic sets, if you need specific parts you might want to look into bricklink.com

I made a differential without the bespoke diff part once, using a square frame and bevel gears. For the outer ring gear though, I had to drill out the center of one of those black gears, to allow one side of the output shaft to get through, with the outer gear being free to rotate around it. It worked, but it required that one destructive 'edit' of a part.
